With few exceptions, the basic images are of limited quality. They are cleaned up and enhanced with Microsoft Pictures and Paint 3-D. I don't even have Photoshop. Wish I did. Sometimes, engaging in a technical discussion of images risks ruining the enjoyment. For this reason, I avoid technical discussions of the images. These are the best I can do, and I try to keep them as erotic and interesting as I can. On Literotica Forum, I recommend the thread "Vanessa", which has very nice quality images and are very erotic. Of course, the internet is chock full of all types of erotic photos and illustrations.

Here's an example of cleaning up an image, using the pic posted above. The grid pattern comes from the photo paper of the print when it was scanned into the computer. To remove the grid pattern, I painted using Paint-3D on the right side only, leaving the left side alone:
