eagleyez will like this song--it'll remind him of an old San Francisco band he loves. I'm predicting this here. lol.
(ooh the next song is really good too--great dancin music. we're having a party here now, a barbeque--too bad my computers speakers suck or everyone could hear it)
I love those excellent lines with multi-meanings. I am stealing it for my phrase book!bluerains said:as familiar as tequila mocking birds
the tap tap rhythmic roof tunes
play to each metropolis
every plaza, dwelling and
town
but, when lightning travels
they park their hammers
and blow taps
in our public pubs
so here’s to the roofers
as they tap
to the beat of the sun...
you may partake of anything I pen..for it is freely given. by my sharable pen..thanks ..blueRybka said:I love those excellent lines with multi-meanings. I am stealing it for my phrase book!

I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.
Around me were the echoing dunes, beyond me
The cold and sparkling silver of the sea --
We two will pass through death and ages lengthen
Before you hear that sound again with me.

by It's A Beautiful Day
White bird,
in a golden cage,
on a winter's day,
in the rain.
White bird,
in a golden cage,
alone.
The leaves blow,
Across the long black road.
To the darkened skies,
in its rage
But the white bird just sits in her cage,
alone.
White bird must fly
Or she will die
White bird,
dreams of the aspen trees,
with their dying leaves,
turning gold.
But the white bird just sits in her cage,
growing old.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.
The sunsets come, the sunsets go.
The clouds pile high, the air moves slow.
And the young bird's eyes do always know.
She must fly,
She must fly,
She must fly.
White bird,
In a golden cage,
On a winter's day, in the rain.
White bird,
In a golden cage alone.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.

Here is another song, which the first time I heard totally blew me away. I hope you've heard it. This woman's voice was simply amazing. Unfortunately, I believe she passed away several years ago. If so, she is singing lead in the choir of angels.
Loving You
Minnie Ripperton
Loving you
Is easy because you're beautiful....
Making love with you
Is all I want to do....
Loving you
Is more than just a dream come true....
And everything that I do
Is out of loving you....
No one else can make me feel
The colors that you bring....
Stay with me while we grow old....
And we will live each day in spring time....
Because loving you....
Has made my life so beautiful....
And every day of my life
Is filled with loving you....
Loving you....
I see your soul come shining through....
And everytime that we....
Oh I'm more in love with you....
