Portfolio of a Wallflower

Figured that's what PMs are for. Keep t private no?
u_u That is, of course, any person's prerogative. I prefer to have open discussion and to have more of a community of people who enjoy sharing their daily lives as well as sharing in similar enjoyment of whatever I can provide, and hopefully that's not just my body.
I'm very curious, and I... well, I like enjoying people for more than just sexy talk. It used to be easy to do around here. Maybe not anymore.

I personally don't prefer PMs, to answer your question. It feels like a waste.

Yes! I think there is so much more to us than just our bodies to contribute. That’s why I truly muse here in ampics. I think it’s important for people to know I’m not just boobs and a booty, but also intellectual and silly. I feel like there are people here (Allia, Swannie, y=my+b, massivegrooves, etc) who are similar in this belief with us. Exhibitionists with minds and a need for real conversation or catharsis through posting real thoughts. I find myself peeking on their threads and yours more than others because I like to just read them and think about the content. I do think there is a balance between public and private which can be reached safely in an online forum such as this without giving away so much that there doesn’t need to be a constant fear of blackmail or stalking.

I don't tend to write a lot, but I agree with you and enjoy reading through the discourse even if I don't always participate. It's more enjoyable for me to read through these types of threads and to get to know you as a person, not an object.

Wallflower, I'm a physical therapist for the VA. Thank you for your service. Business is booming, but I suppose it isn't a good thing. Fortunately, I have access to trails to hike and rivers to paddle; helps keep me sane. I've been out with flu all week... something I read you can relate to! Temp down to 99.5... I really need to go to work Monday.

Man... I miss the old crowd, though. People, tell me about your day, your hobbies, how your life's goin'...
Sure, I like showing off, but I miss connecting to people and having fun there, too... u_u Argent47, NiteOwl, Blade_Rocknut, PolyLvr, DennyCrane...

I could tell ya about my day, but it'd be really boring. I have no problem with chatting though. It's kind of boring without it, ya know? But here's my life story: I'm really, really awesome. That good? :D Oh and I'm also really handsome. See left.

Btw I've been curious; what's your av from?

 :rose: You're lovely, Moochie...

Hmm, that's something for me to think about. I suppose I should do shorter writings. The longer blocks of text might be too much. I'm thinking of a particular poem I wrote in school, right now... (I'll be digging for that.)

Ah, well, I'm glad to know you're enjoying what discourse I do provide, even if I don't see you. I would much rather you join in, and I thank you for doing so now. :rose:

WOW! No kidding? That's why I joined the military! I wanted to be a physical therapist for injured veterans. I was swindled quite well into thinking civilians didn't get those jobs too (recruiter did their job!) and I got injured in training, ironically. I picked up massage instead when the VA said they wouldn't support me going into a field where I could potentially aggrevate my injury. (I had stress fractures all over my sacrum, and the radiologist said if I'd waited another couple days to come in, I would have shattered my pelvis.)
That's when I discovered the aspect of PT that I loved most was actually the massage and manual therapy. It's still very much a passion of mine, but I can't do it full time, because it's too much for my body. (Learned that through trial and error; got injured a couple times.)
I have a clientele that follows me and I'm happy just doing it as a very small personal business that doesn't make enough to file for taxes with the city. >.<
I've got a young athelete who sees me weekly, and my friend I'll be working with sees me almost weekly. I've got a few others that call me up when they need it.
 :rose: You're such a dear friend. I'm so very thankful for you, KMD. :rose:

Hello! :D Got plans for the weekend?

*nodnod* I agree, life without chatting is quite boring. I've gotten used to an intellectual mind being near me and always questioning things and making puzzles to solve. Maybe I've been conditioned to need stimulation wherever I go. >.<

HAHA! Confident, nice! You are quite good looking, though I've never really been one to make those judgement calls. The girls would be like, "Ooh, look'it this celebrity," "Oh, but Xxxxx is so much hotter." And I'm like, "Uh, I mean, he's not bad looking, but... Eh? He's somewhere between a 6 and a 9?" I've never had "a type" when it came to looks. ^ ^;; It's pretty embarrassing sometimes, because I suck at lying or even saying half-truths, so a guy would ask me, "Hey, what do you think of me?" ...And I would get tongue tied because I had no opinion one way or another, and they obviously were looking for positive feedback.
Nope.

I'm pretty much here for tits and ass.
XD Well, good to know where you stand. Shall I purposefully not make conversation with you?

Tonight was one of our game nights. Have some geek porn.

Here's my character sheet. I'm a halfling ranger. :D
Here's an awful room that the DM drew out to help our cartographer. There were two more rooms that were hexagonal like this, as well as diagonal hallways. >.<
We defeated a bone golem and found this neat portal that we'll be exploring later.
Here's a world map and quest list on the outside of the DM blinder.
Aaaaand here's some die porn. ;D

It's essentially a clone of D&D 1.0, called Basic Fantasy RPG. The hard copy book is only, like, $10, and there are a ton of online resources including the core book, if anyone wants to check it out.

Hello! :D Got plans for the weekend?

Aww :).

Tomorrow I've got some video game time lined up, but otherwise, just trying to get to the gym and get some work done.

Nice! Video game time! What's in the console/on the harddrive? (I've been playing a little 7 Days to Die recently, but haven't had much in the way of gaming for a little while.)

Boo~ Who needs work on the weekend?

Pokemon Go on the phone =.

People that can't be productive during the week.

My phone's tiny. (Disk space wise) I played for a good while, but I can't have it anymore. It's giant.

<.< D-don't lose track of work during the week. That makes for sadness.
Is it something you can do like cleaning, where you get into the mode and get a whole lot done? Or is it something that involves inherent waiting or moving parts that you don't control?

I've been getting nicer phones lately, since most of my gaming is Pokemon Go/Ingress. Same desktop I've had for about 10 years is still good enough for low-res Overwatch.

The former. It's just a matter of getting into the mode.

Ah, how interesting! Computers are so easy to upgrade, though! You just prefer the mobility of a phone? Or is it that you don't have any interest in computer games, generally?

Play Eye of the Tiger! Feel the hyyyyype! Get that work doooooone! Raaaaaaah! D=<
How I miss playing rpgs. Nice die. You have a whole chessex set of them? Or?
Aww, what happened? Why no tabletop? :(

Thanks! Yup! I got a 12block of pipped d6 and a full poly set of the Chessex Sky Borealis dice. I had a poly set of dark blue as my first set, but they got misplaced for a time (found them in my travel bag, because I took them when I was only a visitor to WA and played a majority of my games with my group in Skype), and decided to get a full set. These are still my favorite dice after all these years.
Do you have a favorite set? Oh, have you seen or heard of Kraken dice? They're pretty spiffy. They sell out of their brand-specific specialty dice sets in hours, and they don't do restocks. >.< They sure do make some really pretty ones, though. I think it's cute they make a d2 that's just a coin. Super disappointing they don't make a d3, though. u.u

(Edit: I realise I gave a link for a picture to the 36 d6 block... I have the larger dice that only number 12, though, promise. >.< A lot of the pictures were potato quality, so you get 36 dice. :p )

Case in point: This set got released YESTERDAY and is sold out. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold out a literal hour after releasing.

Yeah, not much into fancy PC/console games. I've upgraded memory a bit, but same budget graphics I started with.

...can I pretend snuggles would get me motivated to work? :cattail:

Murr... *pout* What about work and major hobbies and stuff.. Is that too personal? I mean, I'd be writing about my work, but I'm not in work right now. I'm completing boring classes online for my new work as an early childcare giver. I'll start in February with a friend of mine, who's been encouraging me this whole time. She says I'm a natural and we would work so well together, and she's excited because we always met eye-to-eye when discussing her work day and such... I'm excited to get into something I appear to be a natural at, that pays better than when I was working manual labor (massage), that won't hurt my body.

Anyway... That doesn't really leave a whole lot for me to talk about on my end. u.u Makes me feel like I'm not contributing intellectually.

Don't pout. I understand why you prefer to maintain your conversations here rather than in PM, and I'm cool with that. There are just some things I prefer not to make public here. For obvious reasons. I've known others who were in your line of work and I don't think many realize how physically demanding it is. Are you moving away from the massage gig into the early childcare thing because of that?

If it works similarly to ad&d you may have a bit of a challenge on your hands. At 2nd level rangers start to pick up spellcasting, which for them is based on their Wis score. Granted, you aren't playing a ranger to rely on spellcasting, but they come in handy every once in a while.

Does this game version have the equivalent to "weapon finesse" where you use your dex modifier rather than str on melee weapons? Greatest thing ever for rogues and rangers!

My recruiter was about to retire when I enlisted, and didn't seem to care about being honest. It was almost like he was trying to make amends for how many ever years he was the stereotypical recruiter. I got tired of being deployed and decided helping people would probably allow me to sleep better at night. From what I've seen of your pelvis, I'm very impressed.;) I think it's really cool that you like to help people, too. Manual therapy can be labor intensive and, as you know, hard on your body...
