This is yet another reason to love B&W, Orchidea. The interplay of light and dark create an effect, a mood, that color simply can't.

The effect is both under- and overexposure, too much and too little. It's a bright day, but your dark hair and silhouette are stark against the sunny patch, and your face is semi-obscured in the shade of what's probably a bucolic setting.

In color, very little of that, if any, would be present.

It's a terrific photo. Thanks for sharing.
