Quote of the Day!

“There is no rule on how to write. Sometimes it comes easily and perfectly;
sometimes it’s like drilling rock and then blasting it out with charges.”

~No one deserves to be someone else's dirty little secret. If you truly care about someone, you share it with everyone.~

How does one become a butterfly?
You must want to fly so much that
you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.

Quote of the Day!

~Only art can make the future love you, and that is what art is about:

attraction at a distance, seduction from the past, invieglement from beyond the grave.

Art is a plea to love me when I’m gone.~

Quote of the Day

:rose:

"One day you fall for this boy.
And he touches you with his fingers.
And he burns holes in your skin with his mouth.
And it hurts when you look at him.
And it hurts when you don’t.
And it feels like someone’s cut you open with a jagged piece of glass.”

Maureen Medved, The Tracey Fragments

The various religions are like different roads
converging on the same point. What difference
does it make if we follow different routes,
provided we arrive at the same destination.

--- Mahatma Gandhi

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters, all the same. They love being dominated.

Oscar Wilde

I know quite a few women who would vehemently disagree, but speaking for myself...

I can't hear the name "Oscar Wilde" without remembering my favorite Oscar Wilde quote:

There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.

It's not relevant, but it's poignant.

Quote of the Day!

:rose:

~ Man can never know the loneliness a woman knows.

Man lies in the woman's womb only to gather strength, he nourishes himself from this fusion, and then he rises and goes into the world, into his work, into battle, into art.

He is not lonely. He is busy.

The memory of the swim in amniotic fluid gives him energy, completion.

Woman may be busy too, but she feels empty.

Sensuality for her is not only a wave of pleasure in which she is bathed, and a charge of electric joy at contact with another.

When man lies in her womb, she is fulfilled, each act of love a taking of man within her, an act of birth and rebirth, of child rearing and man bearing.

Man lies in her womb and is reborn each time anew with a desire to act, to be.

But for woman, the climax is not in the birth, but in the moment man rests inside of her.”
