Random madness mind, wit and more...

Smurf. She couldn't help but give a grin. He talked about his childhood and she hadn't. She was really starting to feel worse more for holding her mind in such a tight vice and not used to letting any one in but at the same she didn't trust herself.

She would have to tease about the camouflage gift of his at some point. When Brian finally looked back at her in the eye she was being pulled again.
Then feeling at her worse he had kissed her! It was small and light. Amber's cheeks were bright with blush. Amber could do nothing more then stare for what felt like forever. Slowly she moved, holding the towel tight in her hand she kissed back wanting, needing more of the sparks that flew down her spine.

Her eyes were closed and she was smiling in her mind at the feeling. But the old scare on her heart could not let her go further. Amber with her cheeks still blushed deep looked away as she sat back in the large pillow.

"I grew up as a.. normal child. I didn't llook different. I was taken care of by my great aunt and never really thought of who my parents were.. My aunt first told me I was born with magic in me but would not go into detail about family. When I had turned 16 she past away from old age.."
Amber couldn't and had no one to go to. She ran. Lied of her age just so she was not forced to go into a foster home.

"Time.. past and I met my first.. He was wonderful but I was never taught what to look out for.. On one of the nights he staid over I wasn't feeling well and then .. Poof. I had the wings and my cat like ears and tail...
He kept me after that and... I didn't want to be with him. But he had other plans."

Amber glanced at Brian then. She wanted to go on but she was getting more uneasy if she continued and how he would feel of the act she done to Seth after his act he done onto her.

She had returned the kiss, he felt her desire so when she turned away he was disappointed, but it felt just like it did when she wouldn't allow her self to hope about her wings. He felt blessed by her blush, and then the words told him what his heart already knew, she had been hurt, betrayed by someone she thought loved her. He wanted to hold her, pull her into his arms and make the pain go away, even though he knew from his own pain that only time would help. so he reached out and softly took her hand. He let the quiet go on for a moment before speaking and seeing the fear in her eyes he chose his next words carefully.
" so, you found yourself a captive.....and the secret you bear is what you had to do to get free.."
he gazed at her intently now
" it makes no difference to me, what ever it was, I have or would have done the same, to get free.. you don't think that I haven't been locked up before do you? " he softened his meaning with a gentle smile, then added.
" you don't have to tell me ever, if you don't want to either way it won't change how I feel about you..." after the words where out he tried to understand just what it was he was feeling..it was scary how intense the feelings where for not even knowing her a full day yet..

Amber didn't know what to say. All she could do was watch him as he held her hand. With what he said put a smile to her soft lips. Taking her lower lip between her teeth for a moment she glanced at the clock. It was still quite early for being almost noon. She was still relaxed and tired from the fever event and bath.

Looking back at Brian she wanted to know more and pick his brain. She wanted to let her strong feelings toured this man burst out and wrap herself around his heart. She hardly knew him but wanted all the same. Slowly in with time one day she would let herself be more open. Squeezing her hand tightly around his she finally spoke. "Would... Could you lay with me... Least till I fall to sleep?"

She felt like such a child. Amber wanted to talk with him and let her mind go wild but she could feel her ears droop and tiredness wanting to take.
She needed to sleep but she wanted him to engulf her. The image of a blue flame surrounding her red broken heart came to mind and made her heart want to soar with happiness at the odd imagery.

Words failed him, she had asked as if he could even contemplate the idea of saying no. He smiled and removed his shoes, thought about removing more as it seemed unfair, her just in a towel.. "for whom" he wondered and smiled at himself inwardly as he shifted in the bed easing himself behind her, spooning her gently and wrapping his arms around her. This was more than comforting, he could feel her desire to just be held as she slept. Moving around a bit until he was comfortable he allowed him self the luxury of burring his face in her hair. He soft warm scent quickly relaxing him, lulling him in to sleep. As he drifted off the last thought he had as his mind wound down the spiral of unconscious, was how he never wanted to fall asleep anywhere else than where he was right now.

Amber felt safe and happy. She was afraid of feeling hopeful and wanting things. But she would allow herself this moment in time. Again he smelled of sandalwood almost. Making her think of her secret lake in the park that she always loved going to.

She dreamed of the lake. He was there in the water waiting for her. She felt free and joy overcame her. Rushing into the warm summer water with nothing but a silk dress that hugged her curves. Her soft pure white wings with blue tips were spread wide. Amber then realized she didn't have wings. She stopped at the water as if itself would hurt her. She saw the confused look on to Brian's face.

She wanted so badly to race across the waters surface to him but she just couldn't go any further. She reached with her hands before her hoping maybe that would just be enough to reach to him with out having to enter the water. For an odd reason she needed to stay out to protect her own heart for fear of what will come next if she were to swim and truly allowed herself to feel freedom to sore.

Vines came from the shadows behind her. Wrapped around her and she wished she could go back but it was too late. She couldn't escape in time. She was bound by the vines in the shadows and all she saw was darkness around her. She was seeing a painful memory but was not sure if it was actually hers or some one else?

She woke in a cold sweat. It had only been a few hours since Brian had laid with her. A small shiver went down her spine as she looked down and saw the same silk dress that was in her dream. But at least she knew she was truly awake. Amber turned to look up at Brain. He was still deep asleep. Least she hoped. His face soft in places that would normally look harden made her heart clench. She allowed herself to curl closer. Fingers through his soft hair. Sparks ran through her spine just at the touch of him. She wondered what other gifts he had. She had her magic and some spells. She wondered what could be said about that one most powerful that could have only been granted by a single feather of her wings.

When she thought of it, she always did have a conflict of whether it was a good thing or not that she no longer had them. She wanted so badly to fly but till she was alright at using a broom or an object she was grounded.
-Like that's ever possible.... I can't even get two feet off the ground....-

Brains breathing had brought her back. Still asleep possibly? She lazily traced his brow, his cheek. Then those lips. Her cheeks were flushed with blush she just knew it! Stealing a small kiss from those lips she couldn't help it. Curling back into his arms she rested her head into his chest. She didn't know why but the color of his natural skin appealed to her. She was curious of what was under the shirt. Letting her mind wonder, his beating heart lulled her back to sleep. This time her dreams were nicer. With out meaning to she purred in her sleep. She was finally content with something, or this case some one that helped her feel some thing that she has been unable to feel on her own. Joy wrapped around her with all it's.... ...No... With his warmth wrapped around her.

rising up out of unconscienceness , his mind replayed a barly remembered dream of water and feathers. the only image that stuck whith him was of a blue tiped feather spriling down to the surface of a lake, gently coming to a stop at the surface. He smiled to him self as he became aware of her pressed into him, then her soft purring, Smiling as he remembered the purring, it had made it impossible to stay awake earlier. Uncoscienly he ran his hands gently across her body imprinting the feeling of her curves and soft skin into his mind. somehow as they slept she had moved even closer to him than before, now dressed in a thin silk dress, he supposed she had gotten up at some point. He looked down at her neck, asleep as she was he couldn't resist and placed a soft kiss on the side of her neck, pulling her scent deep in to his mind.
What was she? He could not remember any tales of magical creatures like her, not that he knew much about the myths or apprently the reality of magic. He had spent his whole life hidding the fact he was not normal, and so had never really spent time studying never really wanting to know what sort of freak he truly was... and now what? what was this? would she wake up and be appaled... would she think he was trying to take advantage? One thing was for sure they where now locked together as they now knew, eachothers secret.
Absently his hand brushed across her breast, the feeling of desire almost over whelmed him, so he slowly moved and turned getting up slowly before he lost his self control. Once he felt relaxed again he noticed it was afternoon, half the day was gone and he was sure there where things that needed doing, turning back to her he spoke softly.
" hey sleepy head, I think we need to get moving"
Looking at her calm beautifull face so relaxed he hated to wake her, he wanted to kiss her, so he settled for stroking her cheek.
" come on beautiful ..."
He wanted to let her sleep, and yet he was afraid of what she would think if she woke alone. Sighing inwardly he vowed to himself.. this time it would be diffrent, this time he would hide nothing...And he bent down and kissed her.

Amber heard some one calling out to her but she wanted to stay asleep. Sleep in this peaceful state for all eternity. She felt it then. Warmth pressed to her lips. She breathed in with her heart fluttering like butterflies in the pit of her stomach.

Wrapping an arm around the mans neck she brought him closer. She finally allowed him to stand back up with a smile on her heart. When opening her eyes she saw Brian with the suns light shining behind him. He looked like a blue Greek God. Cheeks flushed in bright blush. All he was missing was the flowing mid length hair and toga.

"Good afternoon, Papa Smurf."

She smiles. Her hand reaching for his. She kissed the palm of his had as she looked up at him. Amber finally gets up and walks to her dresser to pull out a brush and starts brushing her wild hair.

"I hope you slept well. I know I'm probably wasn't easy to deal with in my sleep." Amber remembers her duty as an adult and now that she was better she still had the rest of that paperwork to finish up and tend to the garden hidden out back.

She gets back into the norm that she's accustom to and grabs on jeans and a tee shirt. Before pulling the purple silk shirt all the way, Amber lifts her tail into her back as if it was a massive "fluffy" tattoo. Next she pulled her hair up to hide her ears. She turned to look at Brain. With out really meaning to she turned around as if to show off the magic trick she had just done.

She was starring into those velvet eyes. Before she knew it she was standing before him. Purring as her hand is at his cheek. She bit her lower lip as her fingers roamed his blue skin.

"Umm.. We... I.. should.. finish up the work... And... stuff..."

Amber wasn't sure of what to think of the moment. They were both still and silent for what felt as an eternity. Bringing her hand back she smiles and turns. She returns to her office downstairs along with some old books. She never gave it much thought that there could be others but now she was curious. She could hear movement and things being fixed.

Writing and paying bills. Amber looked into what events were coming up soon in the spring. Cheeks blushing she thought of what Brian would look like in an old fashioned suit. Putting her mind back to work she heard the alarm go off on her phone to tend to the plants. Time flies she supposed. The garden just as the cafe was a respectable for its size. And a decent pond to breed and tend to the fish.

As evening crept along she didn't notice how it was pretty quite. Going to the kitchen to prep dinner for two. Amber called out to say it was ready.

No reply. A small thud of her heart of the silence that returned to her. Amber turned the stove off and went in the search. Nothing.

Only finally did she find a couple of her history books were gone and a note on her desk. She never bothered reading the note. Instead she took in and placed it in an old red book that held memories she locked away.

Returning to the food she packed it up. Cleaned everything in the cafe and preparing it for the spring opening.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spring came and went. Summer now here. Tania turns to Amber to hand the wage of the profits for the day. Tania was worried still even though finding that Amber stopped eating all together just months before. She was glad Amber was back to herself these days and looked more healthy but that alone did not stop her worrying for her boss.

"Amber I have a epic idea. I have a few buddies coming I from out of town and their bringing friends. Why don't you come hang with us? Some of them are pretty dang hawt." Tania grinned as she waited for the reply.

Amber wasn't sure if she was ready. Along with her birthday around the corner she wasn't sure she had time for fun other than planning for the summer feastable that was also coming. She needed to find the plates and decorations. No it was for the best. Even though it has been months since Brians disaparents. No she was sure this was the right thing. For now any how.

"Umm.. Maybe next time. There are some things that I need to do and paper work that needs to be done. But enjoy yourself. ok?"

Tania shaking her head all she could do was sigh. Nodding her head she finished helping close everything up then took her leave for the night.

As Tania left for home. Thinking she saw something on the roof of the cafe but when to look closer she saw nothing. Shrugging her shoulders she went on her way home.

Looking back onto her life she isn't sure where her destination lies, or where it should be.

Romances only lead a fog into her life, blurring her outcomes and making it hard to see. She'd been a month into a relationship then out of it before it ever truly started. Oh, the man was nice, sure, but she could not justify making love anymore, when love didn't exist. Her heart couldn't come to terms with the relationship.

Amber closes her eyes for the moment to breathe, and then goes back to work again...
It feels as if her Café is the only thing in her life that won't stab her in the back. It will never leave her and if she ever closed it down, it would not go and spread lies about her.

It is her home but regardless of it all, it seems to lack the passion, love and warmth that she wants. She likes knowing that her café is home to those who enter, but the shoe's not on the other foot. Amber feels so distant in her own living space.

Amber wants something... no... someone who's timeless with their soul. She wants to share her life and grow old with someone who will love her with the amount of love she'd give to them.

She wants an adventure, living life to the fullest.

She is tired of playing this waiting game.
