~ :kiss: Sometimes it's a curse to have a large vocabulary - love using big words - automatically knowing almost all the defs by heart - and only having to look up a few because of lack of use. I once took a Legal Secretaries course - just because I wanted to.

While some of the others had difficulty with the spelling (and they were currently working in the field? - go figure) - I breezed thru the spelling and had the defs at my fingertips even before some of the others. On the final exam... out of 185 questions - I only missed 17.5. I'm weak in Torts - and strong elsewhere. But to get hired on with an atty here.... one has to have AT LEAST 5 yrs with another atty before they'll even consider hiring you on. It sucks at times to be even a little smart. :rose:

I've never used one of with them, myself, but everything is relative. And, I'm not saying I never would, if I had the chance. It's just another form of electricity that can be used for play, just like the electric bug zappers, TENS units and violet wands are.

None of these were created for BDSM electro play, but all have found their way onto the scene. I think the oldest is the violet wand. I think it first became a toy in the 70s. I'm sure the cattle prod, which is also pretty old, has been used many times, itself.

When used, the effect is instantanious, and only works when the two prongs are touching the body so I'd say it could be just as safe as any other toy, as long as the user stays within guidelines of electrical play. Over use (holding it on the body longer than it's intended) could cause burns and care should also be taken so not to affect the heart.

Cattle prods I've seen use a number of "D" cell flashlight batteries, so that would be DC current, like a lot of TENS units. But, I'd say it produces a pretty mean zap, and should be given respect, like say a cane. A little goes a long way.

Electrical play is safe, as long as all necessary safety measures are respected, the toy is used in a sane way so not abuse the submissive, and the submissive is consentual with the specific toy being used.

yes it does.....and when you get zapped on accident it sure gets your attention and buckles your knees in a hurry.

I'm sure it does. I had a cow step on my foot and we couldn't get it to move or take any notice until we smacked it hard across the side with a broom handle. Then it slowly moved. And there are lots more pleasent ways to have your knees buckled. :D
