Yes, it's amazing the amount of mischief a simple dot can lead to. I know I ended the last sentence with a preposition, but it's because I chose to, not because I don't know better. I mentioned that before it could be called to my attention by an englishian.

well, I WAS a history major, so that I know something about. Including that much of the fun of being a historian is filling uip the blank spaces.

We non history majors usually refer to that as "making it up."
