Not at all. The term "safety pin" comes from the fact that you can tuck the sharp end under a safety cover. It has nothing at all to do with being "less sharp" or with being less likely to puncture. "Safety pins" are a contrast to "straight pins," which injure because the pointy end just sticks out straight and uncovered. There is no difference in how sharp they are.

The idea that "more blunt" means "more safe" - as if it's less likely to cause an injury - is backwards. Injuries from blunt items which cut or puncture us are worse than injuries from sharp things which cut or injure us. And more painful.

Male, 60 yo here. I want to get my nipples pierced. I love to have them clamped, banded, sister and chewed on. I even like heating a light stick tip and pressing it to my nipples. Wax just isn't hot enough to cause the level of pain I like.
So the question for those men and women with pierced nipples. What the rush from getting them pierced as great as I think it would be? Does the healing process give pain rush when something bumps or brushes your nipples? After full healing are your nipples very sensitive with light contact? How about having the barbell/rings pulled?

My first roommate wanted pierced nipples. This was back in the early 90s. One day I came home, opened the door, and she was out cold on the bathroom floor with a needle halfway through her breast.
