Religious Blasphemy

this is an oddball answer, but I find it amazing and one of the best linguistic contortionist-rebellious twists in the modern world.

Look up the Quebecois tradition of "sacrer" - that is to say, using religious terms as swear words. It's an intricate art form, and hilarious.

Also featured prominently in the amazing Canadian bilingual cop movie "bon cop bad cop:"

Yeah, the Quebecois really know how to curse! I suppose that's what years of catholic repression will do to a society . . .

Seriously, thinking about this makes me really want to date a Quebecois woman!

Never really thought of it as a fetish per se, but I do get a particular kind of thrill knowing that many of my kinks are in direct conflict with most religious morals.

And have always enjoyed porn involving the 'righteous' (priests, nuns, etc.) 'giving in' to their wanton desires. Also love seeing people use religious objects in their sex... expecially the crucifix dildo -

Of course much of this could come from the Linda Blair scene in The Exorcist which was such a turn on.

I totally get what you're saying about "giving in." Many of my fantasies tend to involve me corrupting a pious woman, gradually leading her down the path to her soul's destruction, until she's screaming curses at god and jesus while giving in completely to sexual sin.

That's not surprising, and I think it might be fairly common and no one wants to admit it.

People are attracted to what they can't have, and there's a thrill in breaking taboos. That's most fetishes involve people doing stuff that they aren't supposed to be doing.

I think that's it in a nutshell. And I agree that there are probably more people out there who are into this, and they just don't want to admit it, either to themselves or to others.

I'd never thought of it before, but yes, I like this. I also particularly like the idea of salvation through suffering in a BDSM context, which is kind of the mirror image of the kink. Huh. I guess I'll have to experiment with this.

Yes, it can certainly work both ways. While "salvation through suffering" can sometimes do it for me as part of a power play scenario, hardcore sacrilege takes the experience to a whole different level. The notion of openly and brazenly defying god in the pursuit of pleasure, damn the consequences . . . I find that incredibly sexy!

Using religion to control or damn sexual urges as evil pisses me off, it just seems wrong. I'd like to convince a devout Christian woman a little at a time, watching her cast aside those shackles that say that masturbation is a sin, that sex before marriage is a hellworthy offense, until she's finally freed from those chains, a sexually open woman who is not afraid of her own body, of the pleasures that can be wrought from it. So, yeah...
