Reunion.

LMAO Sure if I can swing it when the time is set. After the first shock of people not looking like what we thought it should be fun. It is your personalities I like not your bodies (at least so far).

Heck even a Texan knows to go find an air conditioner or a swimming pool when it gets above a hundred. Las Vegas is just for sightseers during the day it really comes alive from sundown to sunup.

Zeke it looks like you'll have to stay home this time and guard the place. Alyssa just might decide to take revenge and if she can't catch you I don't know if I can outrun her. Besides as long as she isn't carrying a knife I don't want to outrun her anyway.

I don't really have anything against Vegas, per se, as I lived there for a couple of years.

We could always compromise and meet halfway between in Apple Valley. It's small, but an small initmiate location seems appropriate, No?

I spent a little over a year at George (When it was still an AFB.) Lived in Adelanto, but had several co-workers who lived out your way.

On a practical note, because Las Vegas is a world reknowned tourist trap, there's probably more direct flights into here than into San Diego. The sheer number of hotel rooms in this area means a better chance of finding discounted rooms also.

Speaking of Lake Mead, were the paddle boat tours running when you lived here? That might be a possibility for getting everyone together once we get them in the same town. Everybody get tickets for a moonlight tour of the lake on the paddle wheeler, and see how many Literoticans they can identify before it's over.

How about Chicago? It is in the middle of the US and it does have the World's Busiest Airport.... so there have to be direct flights here from almost anywhere, right? ANd summer here is much better than anywhere else!!

Hmmm I have been to high school reunions where I only knew a couple of people out of hundreds. I know some of my uncles have gone to WWII reunions where they never saw anyone they had met before. I guess if you consider us all united on the web on this site then we can reunite in person at some location.

Las Vegas, no way!!

Why don't you all come to the country of Denmark, now that would be much more easy!!
wink.gif

I can see two problems with Denmark, although It would be an interesting place to get together.

one: Most Americans don't have passports. Many do, but the average American seldom needs one. Europeans seem to be born with one in their hand. But a comment on the local National Public Radio affiliate reminded me that Americans have a dislike of 'identity cards' that appraoches a phobia in some people.

two: How do you know which day summer is going to be that far north?

Good points in favor of Chicago.

I'm surprised Stump hasn't spoken up to suggest New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Orlando, Florida is another venue I'm surprised hasn't been suggested.

Unfortunately, a fixed income limits my participation to Southern Nevada or maybe Southern California.

Whatever venue is chosen should offer alternatives to the reunion in case we all turn out to be trolls and ogres in real life. (Not much chance that Sexxy Eyes and the other ladies who have posted pictures falling into that category, but you can't tell from most of the guys pictures.)

Alright WH,

Based on your remarks, I'll concede that Vegas might not be bad. However, paddle boats or not, I still think San Diego should be a number one consideration.

Hell, let's put it to a vote.

San Diego does have the advantage of letting Laurel and Manu put what they would spend on plane fare into the site. The less they have to spend on the reunion, the sooner we quit seeing 500 errors. <G>

I hate those 500 errors! They have eaten so many of my posts that now if one is very long I save it before trying to find out if it went through. Lunch and 5 to 10:00 west coast time seem to be the worst.
