Brad listened to the ladies auxiliary talk about an upcoming retreat they were planning for the next month. But his mind was not on all the details they were discussing, trying to get ironed out before the event. His thoughts were miles away, filled with visions of Daisy and Ashley; his thoughts going from one to the other, adding to his confusion. Seeing Dalia with the man named Teo really confused him. 'Why would she be with the man if he had bruised her neck? ... What was her game with me? .... Am I some sort of pawn in her sex games? ..... Does she treat all her clients like this? ..... She seemed to like me but then there's Ashley .... She told him Teo was the man who hurt Daisy but was she lying to him?'
The thoughts rolled around in his head, one confusing thought after another and then he was shaken from his deep thoughts. "Pastor Brad are you alright," He jumped when he felt a hand on his knee, griping it hard and shaking it. Looking around the table, he saw the eyes of ladies staring at him. Next to him was Mary Campbell, the Mayor's wife smiling and asking him again as she squeezed his thigh. "Pastor Brad are you alright?"
"Ahhh ..... ahhhh .... I'm sorry ladies. I was thinking about something that's been weighing on my mind. I'm good now so where are we with the planning?" He said looking at Brenda, the elderly lady who in charge of the auxiliary and was sitting at the head of the table.
As Brenda started speaking again, Mary Campbell leaned over close to Brad and whispered as Brenda began to speak. "If there is anything I can do to help you with Reverend, you let me know. Anything at all." Her hand slid upwards and would have gone further if not for Brad putting his hand on top of hers and stopping her progress.
"Thank you for the offer and if I need your help I will let you know," he whispered pulling her hand off his thigh and turning his attention back to the women discussing the women's retreat.
The meeting seemed to drone on forever and when it finally ended, Brad excused himself from Mary Campbell and made a quick exit back to the safety of his office. Daisy .... Ashley .... and now Mary Campbell filled his thoughts as he prepared to leave for his hospital visits. He wondered what game Ashley and Daisy were playing and a thought came to him that they may be playing on the same team. As for Mary Campbell, he knew she was interested in something more than a friendly relationship but she was married to the Mayor and he had heard of his reputation of being ruthless to those he didn't like. Brad didn't want anything to do with him.
As he drove to the hospital, it seemed to him that the more he thought about everyone and the situations, the more confused he became.

Teo saw the text message from Dalia and could only shake his head. Most people would leave well enough alone but she was one of the most bull-headed women he knew. Texting back, he told her he was glad she was safe and he would see her later. Bridget was expecting him soon and he planned to take her with him to see Dalia later. But for now he turned his attention back to his cousin, Tony Scarcelli.
"Tony do you know anything about the Mayor and some drug deals he may be involved in?"
"Teo." he said putting his arm around his cousin. "You know the family got out of the drug business a long time ago. What the Mayor does with drugs is his own business. Why the sudden interest in the Mayor's business?"
"I think a friend of mine might be in trouble with him. Seems they overheard a conversation and now the mayor and his henchmen are threatening them."
"Rest assured Teo," the mafia boss said squeezing his shoulders. "I'll make some inquires and if I find out anything I'll let you know."
"Thanks Tony. I know I can count on you," he said opening the door to leave.
"No problem ..... that's what families are for," he said as Teo walked out.
Grabbing his cell phone, Tony Scarcelli hit speed dial . The Mayor's voice soon sounded on the other end. "What can I do for you today Tony?" came the cheerful voice of the mayor.
"Your fucking game is getting out of hand," he yelled into the phone. "My cousin Teo was here telling me about somebody overhearing you talk about a drug deal. If you can't keep your big fucking mouth shut ..... I have ways to keep it shut." he shouted, his voice rising another octave. "I don't want any more fucking excuses. You were suppose to clean this fucking mess up with your whore Ashley. I will take care of the other bitch Daisy and you tell Ashley to keep her mouth shut if she knows what's good for her."
"Yes .... yes Tony I understand," the mayor stammered into the phone but the line was dead.
Tony Scarcelli looked at his right hand man, Johnny Delano. "Get Jack and Bobbie to take care of getting this whore Daisy for me. I want them to tail her for a few days before they abduct her. I want to know who she is seeing but I don't want her hurt. When I give them the word, I want them to take her to the warehouse on Fifth Street. I'll take care of it from there."
"Gotcha boss," Johnny said leaving the office to get the two henchmen.
Tony leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up on the desk. 'Poor Teo,' he thought. 'He has no clue me and the Mayor have some silent drug deals.' Only a handful of trusted mafia soldiers were in on the action. He smiled, thinking about the mayor. 'That dumb son-of-a-bitch thinks he is running the show. If at any time the deals would fall apart, he knew the mayor would take the fall.

Mayor "Wild Bill" Campbell was furious when the phone went dead. He yelled out to Anthony, his number one henchman, "Get the car Tony. We're going to pay a little visit to that fucking whore Ashley. Call Clint and Jack and tell them to stay at the retreat even if that other whore leaves. They don't have to watch that fucking bitch, Scarcelli is going to take care of her."
On the way to the retreat, Wild Bill was getting angrier at the thought of Daisy telling Teo and then Scarcelli finding out about it. He was cursing under his breath as his driver, Anthony made his way through traffic. "If that fucking bitch would have done her job the right way, that cunt Daisy would not be around to tell anyone."
Pulling into the parking lot of Rose's Gentlemen's Retreat, they saw a car coming toward them. The woman driver glanced at the large sedan and they heard her tires squeal when she turned onto the street. Clint and Joey met the mayor and Tony near the front entrance. "Boss the girl left but was wearing a disguise," Clint reported.
"She's not our worry right now," Wild Bill said in a huff. "The mafia is going to take care of her."
The men walked in to see security men, milling around. The headmistress came out of her office and told the mayor about the altercation between Daisy and Ashley. Wild Bill looked at the woman and smiled, "Is she still in her room?"
"Yes .... she is pretty upset," the headmistress told him.
Wild Bill had a crooked smile on his face and didn't bother to say another word to the headmistress. Everyone knew that Wild Bill owned almost everyone at the Retreat and he usually got his own way. Walking quickly to the elevator, he soon arrived at Ashley's room. He didn't bother to knock and walked in followed by Tony. Tony closed the door, telling Clint and Joey to not let anyone in the room.
They saw Ashley sitting on a bench in front of the makeup mirror fixing her hair. Wild Bill saw her eyes grow wide as he quickly crossed the room. Before she could react, his arm swung in a short arc, the back of his hand hitting her cheek, sending her flying onto the floor. "I told you to take care of the fucking bitch and she is still walking around. I hear you and her had a fight a little while ago and she slipped out and is still breathing. Looks to me you can't handle the little bitch."
Tony walked to Ashley and grabbed her by the wrist hauling her to her feet. He put his arms around her, holding her arms pinned against her body. She was facing Wild Bill as he walked to her. "So bitch you and I had a deal to get rid of her and you failed. Did she say anything before you let her escape again? Tell me bitch ..... what should I do with you?" he screamed slapping her again across the face.
