We may have, Miss Kit. But it was years ago, and I'd not blame age if you didn't remember.

As to your lack of decorum...

"leave all your well-learned politesse..."

The Rolling Stones generally have the right of it, grope freely. I'm sure he didn't mind. I feel bad for the sheep in the world who believe they should be collectively terrified of a proper fuck, and some of the most substantial pleasures that should be a benefit of romance.

In my experience, fucking, done right, is anything but proper.

At any rate, its a pleasure to meet you again.

thirsty Thursday

Someone called for improper?;) LadyKit, look no further!!

Turk, I just love to see the place hopping.

Shereads, Actually Turk sent me over to collect your tab and I was going to staple it to your front door, but then you did that thing with the lotus blossoms and I pocketed it.:rose::rose:

Snuggle Bunz, the men here are all gracious, handsome, and witty gentleman. Except me, I'm a neer-do-well.:rose: but I'm an incorrigible neer-do-well so hope springs eternal.
Nova: I'm touched. Or at least I hope to be.

To all the gentlemen: I salute you.:) I'm sure you're the reason all these lovely Roofettes are showing up. I'm not ashamed to catch them off guard.

P.S. Wish me luck. I've got a date with a potential lady friend this Sunday. Should I be on my best or worst behavior? Strangely enough I've been being me and it seems to be working. Who knew?

Subo, I knew I could count on a Roofer for a little impropriety. ;) As to the meeting with the lady, be yourself darlin. No woman in her right mind could resist you.

Subo
sounds like you're doing pretty well just being yourself but here take my gold chain neckless...it never let me down.
Ice, I think I do recall...

Lady Kit, I have something to show you in the backroom
...put away that magnifying glass!

shereads
you look like a Victoria's Secret model tonight

what?
he did?

You look like a Vogue model tonight

Oh

Ice...I lived there for one year. I learned to drive a straight shift on Syracuses vertical streets in the winter time.

I met Carmen Basilio once

who knows who he was?

damn

cognac please!

Carmen Basilio was a boxer, two time "Fighter of the Year" and beat Sugar Ray Robinson for the title in 1957. My tastes run more to fighters of the modern era, I'm a big fan of Ricky Hatton and the Klitschko brothers, but theres a lot to be said for those that came before.

Anyone want to talk football next? ;)

Oh please, no. As much as I marvel at Tom Brady and just what a tremendous example of a man he is for young boys, my Detroit Lions are so far off the map right now that I've sincerely had my fill of football talk.

But if you want to sashay your way down to my end of the bar and talk classical boxing with me a bit, Kit, I'll buy you a sakatini or three and indulge you. A man should be so lucky to have such beautiful partner to chatter sports with.

The guys at the office simply can't hold a candle.

Ice, since my beloved Cowboys have disappointed me yet again, I'm perfetly happy to skip the football discussion. I plan to route for Green Bay to make the Super Bowl (though I think that Brady kid is going to get the ring this year) and dream of next season. *sigh*

Set up the drinks Turk, while I "sashay" on down to that stool at the end. I hate to admit that my knowledge of classic boxing really is small. My love of the sweet science started in the late 90's, but I'm a loyal fan, and particularly enjoy the cruiser and heavy weight classes. As I said before, I like the Klitschko brothers, in part because I'm half Russian, but mostly because of their style and the fact that they just scream "boxer" to me.

How about you? Have any favorites?

Oh, and glad to know I'm preferable to the guys at the office. :rose:

G'day To Everyone!

*Grins broadly*
Why spank you all for the welcome.

Ice~ I am shy however I am also an encouragable and affectionate flirt....

*Waves to Monsieur Ari* Good day! What is all this talk about Syracuse? You mean upstate NY?

Shereads~ A room sounds nice, alas I cannot afford it.....

Lady Kit~ Spank you for the welcome, tis a pleasure to make your aquaintance as well.

Subo~ Not sure how to take what you said about yourself, but I am sure all the men on here are ever so gracious and handsome.

*Glances around and hugs another glass of sweet rum* I think thats all who spoke to moi....OH! Might anyone of you fine patrons know of a way for me to put up a cute little Avatar?

Sunggle, the avatar is a reward given by the Lit gods for showing devotion to the site by making a predetermined number of posts. I beleive you most post 100 times to earn the opportunity to have a "face" Additional information is available in the FAQ section of Lit. *Downs her glass and motions to Turk for a refill, already feeling the fuzzy blanket being pulled over her mind.*

Well spank you, I had guessed as much but wanted to make sure...pity....oh well. May I ask the name of the artist that painted your avatar? In my years of art consumption I've run across him however I forget the name....it saddens me.....
Are you well today?

Getting a late start today folks...
had to hay the horses, churn the butter, wring a few chicken necks, sharpen my pencil

Turk, mimosa doublay and a Denver Omelette!

whaddya mean...you gotta hotplate back there, and look here's some eggs fresh from the farm.

Snuggles, Lady K...nice to see you here this am.
and of course you both look stunning

I met Basilio when I was a teenager. He lived not far from Syracuse.
Alas LadyK, your interest in pugilism starts where mine drifted away.
When championship fights went from 15 to 12 after Mancini killed that guy
in the ring it started to erode and after Tyson (who could have been the best heavyweight EVER) chewed off Holyfields ear...that was it.
Now all I have is memories

which is about all I have anyway

gggrrrrrrrr

*Drops her empty glass to the table and scrambles over to perch beside Ari as he prepares for his breakfast.*

I'm from Ithaca NY, I was just curious to see anyone whos been anywhere near the area....God I miss it....living on an island is NOT all its cracked up to be....

Oh, and glad to know I'm preferable to the guys at the office. :rose:

I tinkered with the sport some, though never with any dreams to compete. It gets you in tremendous physical condition, and I'd like to avoid any more concussions. Hockey is enough of a contact sport for me to play competitively, or was, before I began to settle.

Rocky Marciano, a gentle giant. Undefeated in the Heavy Weight division, I've seen his gloves in the hall of fame.

Ithaca is Gorges!

I've hiked up and down there, and had my share of drinks with friends who chose that as their college.

Ice~ I've lived a sheltered life there...but now I realize it has so much more to offer....much more than Nassau, Bahamas. I want to move back so badly it depresses me.....

And yea, hiking up above the waterfalls is fun havent done it since I was a kid though...

I know Cornell has Slope Day....I once told these impish boys about what cake would be best for smashing into their poor unsuspecting friend's face....Bakery work was pretty fun...

*Sets to work laying out a display table of sweets for the room, Puff pastries, Layer cakes, Fruit tarts and chocolate mouse for two's*

did someone say

Football ?

There is soo much to look forward this year, first a friendly game against Brasil in London of all places (but good for old England to get a chance to see at least one good game this year :D )... and that is just a nice warmup for better days. Book this summer for Euro 2008.

Mmmm Snuggle ... That was much better then a quick rub. Can you do it again ? Looks at the door to the wine cellar just in case.

Boxing.. I have always wondered where Ari found that big bald Brute behind the bar up until now.

Ice .. Welcome back to the Roof

Turk .. A bottle of whisky and a couple of glasses. Sits down on the couch and pours himself a glass as he wait for some friends to show up.

Pssst .. Kit is the Cellar free or are you still down there ? ;)

Cheers

OMG !!! .. How could I miss all these sweets ?

Falls to the floor . Looks at Snuggle as she realize that there weren't any boobs on that chest. I hope you didn't expect that

says a prayer hoping she will not find out that he is ticklish.

*blinks and pricks her nails into his chest before perching atop the smooshed Tiger and drinks her eggnog* You know you arent good at hiding your condition.... *runs a fingernail up his arm*

Thanks for the greetings, everyone.

It's been a long hiatus filled with classes, full-time jobs, and my bouncing tot.

Who, strangely enough, is a tot no longer.

I've missed all the sordid comings and goings of this place, though. ;)

Saturnalia Saturday

Turk, you handsome blue eyed devil, one cold one please. I do love three day weekends, there are fewer repercussions.

LadyKit, this old Packer fan appreciates your support:kiss: And thanks for the advice. :rose: The lady in question and I had a 4 hour tete a tete after a seminar yesterday. it was quite refreshing and promising.:)

Snuggle bunz, I am an enigma;) I'm looking forward to your avatar, keep coming back. maybe one or more of us can seduce you into joining a htread or two.:rose:

HT, I see you're smart enough not to put up a fight when a lady jumps on you.

Ari, thanks for bringing some of the bucolic life into our jaded midst.

Turk, give them all a treat, drinks are on me

Ari ponders the quip on bucolic life and picks hay out of his beard.

The old place is maintaining a nice buzz all right.

HT, I know your proud of those claw marks but put your shirt back on will ya?

I have a football trivia question...

who was Green Bay playing when they won the championship game and it was so damned cold and snowy...this was before there was an AFL.

Turk, a bottle and 2 glasses please, I'm expecting someone.

I wish I could help, but I plucked the image from a poster site some time ago and don't recall the name of the artist. I'll see if I can find the image again so that we'll both know the name.
