I love my crops. They are my favorites next to my strap ons.

Jay Wiseman's book SM 101 has a chapter on flagellation that identifies a lot of toys and describes their use (no pics). I highly recommend this book as a worthy addition to your BDSM Library.

He mentions that the crop can be used as a sensual toy too. I forgot to mention it. I use it as an alternative to my hand for caressing purposes. It gives a different sensation.

You can use it to caress anywhere. And is especially nice if your sub is blindfolded.

Jay Wiseman is very well known and he is a switch if I had to label him. He has experience on both sides of the whip. I know he is on the up and up because I have met one of his compadres Philip the foole. I saw Philip, who is a huge masochist (and switch) take a really great beating with a bullwhip. And the only time I saw a violet wand in use was with Philip. he used it on me.

I liked that house so much I cant stand it. There was ideas everywhere I looked. Yea, maybe they need someone to check on it every week or month or something. And yea, work would be no problem as long as your not there, then it will be play.

Ok, the horse person in me has to speak up. If you don't have much experience with crops, look for something called a jumping bat. It sounds really harsh, but it's actually just a short crop. The piece of leather on the end of the bat usually makes a loud popping noise (louder than regular crops), too. The noise is fun for scaring the living crap out of a blindfolded sub! It basically feels the same as a regular crop, but the shorter length makes it easier to control.

Methods of use?

Is the idea to just flick (snap) the leather end on the skin? Or is it used like a cane so the hard part of the crop hits and then the leather snaps down?
