Sasha's Dream Beach (By Invitation Only)

*seeing a nice clean beach, the wind blowing softly through the palms, I make a mental note to thank a sweet dragon.

I'm not ready for either world yet, real or Lit. Vacation is too fresh, but a vacation tainted with the touch of reality, of sadness, and I'm not sure where my mind is yet.

The "Do Not Disturb" sign is up, so that I can focus on writing, but I'm not sure if anything useful will come out.*

*pounces and gives pie, then slips out because the dorkfish wants to use the computer*

*I stir on the cot, pulling back the linen, yawning. It's sunrise, and seeing pale light filtering through the west facing window, I get up, padding out to the porch, and see redness on the horizon. There are high, wispy clouds, and I know it will be a show.

Closing my eyes for a second, a cup of coffee appears just as I like it, watching the colors change into a blaze of red, orange, yellow, pink and gold.

The coffee warms my insides as the sun warm without. Things have changed. My appreciation for the real, despite lost, despite illness, despite heartache, has increased, and I need this place less. I will still come here, to spend time with new but dear friends, and to write, but no more.

There is no room for drama.*

*pulls a dragon onto the shore, letting the water lap our feet as we cuddle, then tagging*

*I pull out my journal, black leather, brand new and open it, breathing the cover, the fresh pages. Grasping a pen and leaning up against a palm, letting the air caress my hair*

*gives some cheddar and bacon potatoes*

*my mind full of the image that Thryi provided, seeing the sand warm and the ocean calm, and lightly lapping at the shore, waiting for her to take my hand*

*nibbles, then darts into the water to cool off*

*I appear as if from a misty dream landscape, outstretched hand to take yours, a smile on my lips for my sweet friend. Stepping close and wrapping my arms around your warm body, leaning in for a kiss, I love the feel of your lips softly brushing mine.*

I heard you were feeling a little down, sweet Sasha. What can I do to help?

*holding on tightly for a moment, eyed closed, savoring, then releasing, taking your hand and walking away from the spot where dragon is splashing, letting him enjoy himself, walking to the tip of the point, away from the trees*

Being here is enough, dear one.

*laying down, legs in the water as the tide comes in, smiling up at you*

Sorry for not posting yet. I've had a screaming brat in my ear most of the past two days...

*With a thought, all clothes disappear and I lie down next to you, sighing with the simple pleasure of the waves washing over my body. With a knowing smile, I stretch out my hand to enclose yours, fingers touching light as a feather, stroking along the back of your hand as my eyes meet yours.*

I like this kind of peaceful stillness, especially when we can share it together.

*beaming, and leaning in for a soft kiss on your cheek*

I completely agree.

*turning to face the endless ocean*

I'm so glad you came by. I've been thinking about the stories we discussed before. The frontier couple and the famous woman coming back home. I think I would really love to try the latter, if you are still interested.

*Leaning in to savor that slow sensual kiss, feeling the simple joy of it, no pressures or worries. It just feels good.*

I'd sure be willing to give it a shot. But I have to confess that my posts to most all my stories wait for the weekends these days, and that means usually one post a week per story. I know for some people they don't mind it, and for others it's way too little. If we did that one, which role would you like to play?

One post a week is just fine for me. I should be posting less and finding peace outside of Lit. And with your new job, I can completely understand.

I think I would like the girl who stayed at home, the shy one, conservative.

*shifting closer in the wet sand, moving one arm behind yours so that I can rest my head on your shoulder*

It sounds like we have a story then. I'll work on an intro post and send you a PM with a link when I get it ready. Maybe my character did well on American Idol after moving away from the small town they grew up together in. Her exposure to the 'big time' has introduced her to all sorts of lifestyle choices that finally make her want to return to her hometown for a simpler life.

*Lying back on the sand, letting the waves roll up around my hair, I pull you closer, urging you to pillow your head on my bosom, cradling an arm around you.*

*turning to my side, arm around your waists and resting my head on your breast, my hair covering my face, curling up just slightly*

I love that idea! My character has been watching yours on TV, following, cheering the hometown star, perhaps slightly jealous, but also glad to be out of the spot light.

That reminds me, I've been considering a more direct First Contact type thread...where a hot alien soldier or cop or something is sent to make contact with a human after monitoring him for months.
