My absolute favourite are very sheer clear ones, with black seams and cuban heels. With those on, I AM the goddess.

Ah, you must be shopping in the wrong neighbourhood. I bought my first suspender belt there 30 years ago and still was able to buy them in most large department stores such as Myers (or expensive boutiques if you want to pay more) last year when I was there. I still send friends shopping for me for my favourite stockings there as they are great quality at a much more affordable price than I am finding in the US or Europe. I am disappointed so far on this side of the ocean as the only place I seem to find suspender belts and corsets are adult shops or select lingerie stores (huge pricetag)...have found a couple of department stores supplying stockings, but they are limited in style and high in price.

I never get where garter belt as a term came from as a garter is for the leg and not attached to anything, and as far as I have ever known suspender belts are the correct term. Seems to be a growing trend to call them garter belts though which I still don't get.

Hose with the seams, sexy.. I've always felt that fishnets were sort of slutty though. Now I'm thinking maybe not, but only if the mesh is really small. The best pair that I found were soft lace stockings with a seam up the back. D LOVED them. I've found that when I'm wearing the garter belt, suspender belt, whatever, it's best to go pantiless.. By my own definition, "fuck-me" shoes are shoes that look good on legs that are over my shoulders. Either way, I don't think much walking in them is required.

My lover and I went to a strip club last weekend, and I pointed out the shoes the strippers were wearing (and that's pretty much all they were wearing) as good examples! And yes, the one dancing wearing seamed stockings was my favourite!

Seamed hose were never my thing, but I don't dislike them either. However, old silk hose with a garter belt (suspender belt, whatever) are heavenly, especially those with lace tops.

I own 2 pairs..one is silk, sheer and black with a gorgeous seam (and they go perfectly with my favorite 4 inch baby platforms).

the other is fine black lace...thigh highs, with a small seam barely noticed..flirty even..

I wear them when I want to feel decadent...no other reason..

(and I just love the feeling of stockings, thigh highs or whatever beneath my palm. The soft whisper of sound as they slide down off of hairless skin...)

They sag, they don't feel nearly as sexy and they never seem to fit exactly how I'd like.

Haven't worn seamed stockings before, but they are quite sexy. Perhaps I shall have to snag a pair while I'm TDY next month. Though Hawaii isn't really a stocking place least as far as I know.. oh well, I'll try anyway.

Like Catalina I find the seams damned difficult to keep straight.

Yes I know tights are NOT sexy but they do make them for short people.

I have the opposite problem to Shelleb. My legs are so short i sometimes have to turn the tops of the stockings over or they end up sagging at my ankles!!! Turned stockings or ones that sag neither is sexy !!

The curse of being 4ft 10" I guess. *shrugs*
Although I don't know what that is in metric its still short!!

The seam thing.. It reminds of stuff my English granny used to tell us. She was a young lady in World War II, and whatever the UK version of a WAC waas. Silk stockings were really hard to find, so the GI's would look for them everywhere and scarf them up, to give to a young lady after a night of nookie. Eventually it got to the point where if a young man gave a young lady a pair of silk stockings, she'd ask what his intentions towards her person were!

The other funny thing she mentioned was that after the invention of nylon hose (I'd curse that inventor too, up to the 7th generation and then some!) there were lots of cheap nylons around and they didn't have seams in the back so ladies would draw them on each other. Only "cheap" girls wore the nylon ones, and in this case "cheap" usually meant fast too.



I prefer the garters, too, but they show under my uniform pants so it's usually trouser socks (fancy knee highs) unless I'm wearing a skirt.

ago often wore black seamed stockings and one evening, pursuaded me to wear them after she'd worn them all day.
