Thought about this one ... a lot.
Do you think she's dozing in the sun like a cat? Perhaps waiting for a cat of another stripe, pun intended. You can't see her from the waist up, thus my stroll into cat theory.
Has her back been striped red? Has her partner left in her sun while she dozes behind closed eyes in a dark, warm space? Does she dream of pleasant things, or twitch to nightmares?
Perhaps a door lays just off frame and she waits for her partner's return. Positioned for that partner's pleasure at the moment the door opens, her heart beats quickly at the sound of approaching steps. Think the afternoon will end quickly, or will the fun continue deep into the morning hours?

To keep them up, after you get them on and straight, spray a light (read-LIGHT) spray of hairspray over the back of your leg. Also works to stop a run in the toe til you can find some polish.
For the dommes that need them to stay in place all night, run a strip of the same adhesive that athletes use to tape with down the center of your leg, and put them on carefully. "Butt Glue" is used by beauty queens for swimsuits, dancers use it for costumes, but its less expensive at the sporting goods store. It looks like roll-on deoderant. Give it a moment to get tacky then be careful putting your stocking on.

Stockings vs pantyhose
I prefer stockings to pantyhose mainly for convience - I hate struggling to pull them back up and getting everything put back into place. Stockings and garters I can wear under my panties and not have to worry about pulling them back up after using facilities. Plus I find it less likely I put a hole in them attempting to get both legs on at the same time...

You measure from where the heel touches the ground to where it connects to the sole itself.
The easiest way to learn to walk in heels is to just DO it. Wear them around the house. Vacuume in them, do the dishes in them, anything just to walk. Soon it will be a second nature. If going down stairs are an issue, take them at a slight sideways angle (plus the cross over motion of the walking down is pretty sexy if someone is watching you
