MrSB says I'm ocd. lol Reading the list, I have to kind of agree. But i'd never admit that to him!

So MrSB and I have to take as much out of our bedroom as we can and also empty the closet floor to get ready for the carpet installers.

MrSB's first wife designed the headboard that you see in photos. It's so big it's bolted to the wall and not easy to maneuver. Sadly she never got to sleep in their bed with that headboard. She passed two weeks after it was finished. Anyway, it's a big job to take it down.

She survived breast cancer for 5 years when she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. She fought that for 6 years before she passed. She has the BRCA1 gene. Her last words to MrSB were "you did good". They were married for 32 years and loved each other dearly. I understand that she was an amazing woman. I wish I could have met her.

Both of her sisters had breast cancer. Her niece had the testing and found she had an 87% chance of getting it. A year ago at age 30, she had both breasts removed. Then she got pregnant (planned) and just gave birth. She will have her ovaries removed now. She is an amazing young woman....strong and resilient with a wicked sense of humor. I adore her and her strength.

So...continuing with the red....

It's an 8' drop on the side with the mirror. I did fall off the other side once taking photos. So I decided to ask MrSB for help. He's such a good sport!

That is one hell of a drop. Got my heart pounding thinking of you sat there. I wouldn't have the guts to do that now.

Lovely photos though.

I lost my sister just before Christmas to cancer. She was 71. Had a double mastectomy 16 months before and then went for a 12 month scan and told it had spread and was inoperable. She lasted 4 months and went from a lively 11 stone lady to a curled up 6 stone in that time. Body eventually failed.

Ohverbatum....It's pretty difficult to make me mad. I do wish I had met her. Imagine this.... when we die, we're lucky to be remember for more than a few years. 7 years after she passed the company she worked for for less than that dedicated a project to her. The owner sent MrSB a letter saying how much they still missed her and hoped her smiling face shone down on the girls (rescue situation) from heaven. She truly was an amazing woman. She's been gone since 2005 and her nieces still post on FB about how she was such an important influence on their lives.

Her ashes are in our upstairs family room. I created a memorial with photos, her ashes, her bible, rosary, cross and mementos. I want the kids to know she is still loved and remembered.

He actually encouraged me to be me. I never wore a skirt shorter than mid-calf or showed any cleavage. He encouraged me to dress younger, sexier but still keep things classy.
