I survived. Ended up with 15,393 steps for yesterday!

It's another hot day in AZ!!! Where our house is, the high is about 115-116º. Though to be honest, once it hits 115º, it all feels the same.

I was a slug yesterday! Then MrD texted and invited us to meet for a glass of wine. We did. Well, I didn't get drunk but it put me to sleep! I was asleep by 9:45! Woke at 4:40am though. Got up at 5:20. ugggg.

So! About Saturday night!

MrsD and MrD came over about 3pm. We relaxed in the pool. We all have a fairly wicked sense of humor so conversation was lively and fun! We were a little touchy feely but nothing outright sexual. I walked last night. It was hot but the sun wasn't beating down on me so it was a nice walk. Walked 8500 steps! Did have a run in with a "jumping cholla". You'll see the picture. The spines curve when they puncture the skin, making it difficult to remove. I ended up with several stuck in my thumb trying to get it out. When pulling it out of my ankle, the skin pulls out (not off) with it and it's so hard to remove. I have a small bruise where the biggest spine punctured me.

How did I get it? My fault. I walked off the path and obviously didn't see it! I didn't even feel them go in until my other foot bumped it.
