Yes, that is correct cascadia, however, it does depend on how 'tight' you pull on the rope. The other option that mitigates that risk is to double rope the bind. What that single bind delivers is, if done correctly, beautiful residual marks.I recall posting this gif many years ago and a long time litster with rigging experience pointed out this is unsafe rope work putting her at risk of loss of circulation to her hands.

Agree, for day wear, you have to tie so it's safe and not too terribly inconvenient to urinate. But yes. Can be tied easily to accommodate that. It's also a practical way to tie and be able to have, ahem... relations.
