What an awesome thread - and what beauties therein!

A round woman is a delight to behold and joy to be with!

Kiss kiss all you lovely curvy ladies!

There are several threads like this scattered around Lit's board, and I join them as soon as I run across them.

I married a woman with more curve on her than Society considers beautiful. My basic comment: Fuck Society, and not in the good way.

I stepped into a lingerie store once a couple years ago, with the possibility of picking something up for my beautiful, curvy wife, and the attendant directed me to two very sparsely appointed racks. We got talking about that, and she admitted that even she was unable to wear the great majority of the items the shop carried.

As with so many things, if only the media would stop perpetuating the narrow-minded stereotypes that exist, then ladies with curves would stop believing they were anything but the spectacular, gorgeous creatures that they are.

One of my favorite - if far too short-lived - nationwide advertising campaigns that was done a few years ago was the one that featured women of ALL shapes (in only bra and panties). I don't remember which company it was, but I wish they were still doing that.

I have had the pleasure of talking about this with Vi lately, and I admit some of the girls on this thread are way hot. I can say that as I get older, the tiny hard-bodied college girls aren't into me as much, or at all. And I am amazed at how society serves youth SO much. I dated a girl two years ago. She was tiny - 5'2" and 130. She was too big for many of the things in VS. I don't get that.

But attitude is hot girls. I don't care what size you are, if you own it, and just put your hottest self out there, it is super attractive. Kudos to you.

All points raised are valid and true but...please don't derail the thread. Feel free to discuss this at length, but please do it elsewhere. This thread is for sharing pretty pictures of pretty people in all their shapes and sizes. Social debate is down the hall...

Thank you.

And to bring it back on track.
A truly gorgeous, big strong man.

Could you all do me a favor? I ignored the mouth breathers so I wouldn't see their hate anymore, but when you quote it it does up for me. So, if you could just not quite them, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

This is true, to be sure. Both genders get a message of a physical goal that is, generally, not achievable.

It depends on what you are identifying as a physical goal. There isn't a healthy human being on the planet that can't get to less than 10% body fat with an intelligent diet and disciplined work-out routine.

Granted, 10% is near elite athlete levels. Anything less than 15% would be enough to be considered as fit as your typical model.

With women, obviously, if you're more precise and get into measurements - that's a little different. For example, a friend of mine is underweight right now at 107 lbs. Her agent told her she needs to lose a full inch on her hips. There's no way that will happen unless she shaves some bone off of there. (Which would be horrific.)

So, in that case, yeah.

But in terms of fitness - there's almost nothing that the average individual can't achieve.
