I have a mindset to be a submissive ( I think I do), sadly I don't have the physique for it. It's like when someone has a burning passion for dancing, but doesn't have the body for it.

Believe me when I say that I don't have weight issues, I do exercise regularly, was a dancer since I was 5 but gave it up for academic reasons, I am reasonably toned and I can run a not-so-embarrassing distance. So please, don't consider this thread a compliment fishing pole, because that is not what it is. I really am serious and honest about this issue of mine.

I am starting to have image issues - something I have never had before. I'm not overly tall, but 5'8 isn't something that would be and can be considered "petite" either.

I envy tiny girls for being tiny and easily manhandled. If it was weight issues, anyone can lose weight, but I don't think losing height is possible for me (I'm not going to chop off my legs).

It is rather sad actually. I have little experience in the D/s world. But it is something that I really want, especially the pleasing a Master aspect, and being owned, being the pleasure of someone. But if I, myself alone, can't be a visual pleasure then what's the point.

Ooooh no its nothing to do with size I am 40, I have had two children (and oh my that's taken a toll on my body). My partner is lighter than me, if we both stood on the scales and exactly the same height.

BUT his presence is bigger than me. That is what's important, he could fill a room with his personality, where as I am quite happy to be the quiet thoughtful one in the corner

My reaction when I saw this thread was "pfff NO." I've had the good pleasure of playing with two female subs, both of whom were a bit taller than me, and several pounds heavier than me, and I'm not anywhere near fainting flower. In my experience, it's been rather the opposite, submissives are generally curvy. In fact, seeing as the vast majority of Americans are obese, why would BDSM lovers be any different? There are indeed some activities for which a petite girl would be more suited, say... suspension. There are indeed some people who will say that "a petite girl is more suitable for slavery" but really... just because most people prefer them, doesn't make that the criteria for being a good slave or sub, I'd say the quality of being submissive is what makes someone a good slave or sub. It seems like this might be a bit late of an entry but the lifestyle isn't about a type of body at all. Its about a celebration of the connection between spirit and body of two people. You're wonderful the way you are. Everyone is.
