Songs that remind you of the BDSM spectrum

No one's mentioned Under My Thumb by the Stones?

I don't think that wasn really that kind of song. That was about getting an ex back right where he wanted. But the Stones have done other songs that definitely were about BDSM. In fact, I made a thread about BDSM themes in classic rock on a Stones fan forum last Christmas. (I skipped over "Slave" because all it says is "I don't want to be your slave," which could very well have a vanilla meaning.) To recap:

The Rolling Stones—Tie You Up (The Pain of Love). An ode to a relationship with a pro-domme? Sounds like it to me. The part at the end when Mick is panting “don’t hurt me” is hot as hell but my instincts tell me that he really means the opposite. Lyrics.

The Rolling Stones—I Go Wild. This song begins with the words “you whipped me… I’m hurting.” It goes on to express the subject’s (Mick unless I miss my guess) intense need for his dominant even though it sounds like she’s crossed the line to abuser (“you abused me for certain” is the second line). As a domme (well, a switch who leans more toward dominant) I’m quite familiar with how overwhelming a submissive’s need for their dominant can be. Lyrics.

And more classic rock BDSM:

The Velvet Underground—Venus in Furs. The classic rock BDSM song if ever there was one. The title is taken from the novel by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, from whose name the word “masochist” is derived. “Strike, dear Mistress, and cure his heart” aptly expresses the craving many submissives have for punishment. Or maybe he’s just a painslut. Lyrics.

Nazareth—Let Me Be Your Dog. A recent find of mine; the title caught my eye while I was shopping for mp3s. A quick sampling proved that my guess was right—this song is as submissive as “Venus in Furs” and “Tie You Up (The Pain of Love).” Most obvious lines: Besides “let me be the slave you can faithfully flog”? Only everything. And it could undeniably be interpreted as having a pet play theme too. Lyrics.

Jimmie Vaughan—Kinky Woman. I couldn’t find the lyrics for this song anywhere. Like the other song below, this is found on his Out There album. Sounds like poor Jimmie, being submissive, crossed paths with a real domme and found that he’d bitten off more than he could chew. After all, submission doesn’t automatically equal masochism and a love for leather… though it does for a hell of a lot of us, I must admit. And if you didn’t know, yes, this is Stevie Ray Vaughan’s brother.

Less Explicitly BDSM:

John “Cougar” Mellencamp—Hurts So Good. This song isn’t as overtly BDSM-themed as many assume. It’s mostly in the lines “Come on baby make it hurt so good/Sometimes love don't feel like it should/You make it hurt so good.” However, there sure is a lot of leather in this video. Lyrics.

ZZ Top—Got Me Under Pressure. “She likes whips and chains” he says in the second stanza. He then goes on to explain that she’s too much for him but he’s afraid that she might beat him harshly with a nightstick if he breaks up with her. Dangerous woman! Lyrics.

The above is basically just a sampling. The full thread, including contributions from others, can be found here.

May be just me, but The Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams' makes me think about bdsm
http://youtu.be/qeMFqkcPYcg

Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused

and this, of course...

oh little girl, there are times that i feel, i would rather not be, the one behind the wheel...

I love DM, and this is one of my favorite songs of all time. I relate to a lot of Martin L. Gore's lyrics as well as the awesome music.

"come
pull my strings
watch me move
i do anything...
please"

DM has so many songs that touch on bdsm/control...will keep reading to see which may be posted so I don't dup. :)

My fave Depeche Mode songs that deal with bdsm in some way (besides those mentioned above). '

the quintessential - Strangelove:
"Will you give it to me -
Will you take the pain
I will give to you
Again and again
And will you return it?"...

"I'm not trying to say
I'll have it all my way
I'm always willing to learn
When you've got something to teach" (this so speaks to me as a switch!)

Master & Servant

"It's a lot like life
This play between the sheets
With you on top and me underneath
Forget all about equality
Let's play master & servant"...

"Domination's the name of the game
In bed or in life
They're both just the same
Except in one you're fulfilled
At the end of the day
Let's play master and servant"

Only When I Lose Myself (more about the bliss in fully conceding yourself)

"Did I need to sell my soul
For pleasure like this?
Did I have to lose control
To treasure your kiss?
Did I need to place my heart
In the palm of your hand
Before I could even start
To understand?"

In Your Room (another of my favorites!)

"In your room
Where time stands still
Or moves at your will
Will you let the morning come soon
Or will you leave me lying here?
In your favourite darkness
Your favourite half-light
Your favourite consciousness
Your favourite slave"

Also, the Razed in Black album Damaged is amazing, especially the songs Blush & I'll Damage You

"I see the way that you're undressing me
The evil in your eyes
Had no idea that you'd ever be
Insane enough to take on me
A closet full of tools to hurt you
Even some that aren't meant to please you
You say you know' but your innocence left
When you stared at me and bit your bottom pouty lip

You throw yourself on the floor for me
Waiting for me to ride
Even tie yourself up to the chains
That the bitch before sucked, fucked, and used me
Climax with the thought of my skin wrapped against your skin
In repetition
Still then you have no idea what you've jumped into

Inflict the worst of pleasures
To make it all feel better
Won't try to tame intentions
It ain't no use
Inflict the worst of pleasures
To make it all feel better
I've been abused and used
Don't you think I'll Damage You?"
