Space for Whatchamacallits

I have a really good friday song:

There is a green hill far away
Without a city wall
Where the dear lord was crucified
Who died to save us all

Oh for he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fellow
For he's a jolly good fellowwww
And so say all of us!

Also - To TG and Serpentine. Even though I don't know you, I'm happy that you're happy - and these days I'll take any happy that's going. Wishing you both lots and lots of it :)

curls up on the sofa and nibbles on an Easter Egg

I don't have any real easter eggs this year. This makes me sad.

This can't be true!

looks aghast

If I'd known I've have sent you some from here...there are some yummy ones in this part of the world.

peeks in.

Now I'm very curious to know what kind are available. I've been getting some from the store for weeks now, just one or two for fun. So of course now there's none left except some battered ones left at bottoms of displays. Very sad-making. :(

Also, hi, everyone!

They do one here where they take a real egg shell and basically, fill it with chocolate. You end up with a solid chocolate egg (it's praline type stuff I think) and it's amazing!

waves madly at Tess

Hi Tess! Happy Easter!

All this talk about chocolate is making me huuuuungry. And I just had some strawberry ice cream cheesecake.

Ohh, that's awesome! That's much more fancy than here. We do have a chocolate shop that probably does well on Easter, I should look in to that. Dunno why it hadn't occurred to me before.

Hi, there, lovely! Happy Easter. :rose: I'm actually kind of chocolate'd out at the moment - the horror! I'm sure I'll recover shortly. Am actually about to start making some things to pick at over the afternoon; the weather's so nice that I thought veggie snacks of various cooking difficulty sounded good.

Nothing to do with Easter or Chocolate

But I just read a story that I think is worth sharing.

It's called A Field guide to scars

Its very short and I'm pretty sure you won't begrudge the time.

I feel like instead of cornflakes I had a bowl of Raging Bitch for my breakfast! I attacked the housework with a vengeance today. Complete with uptempo music!

Now. What to do with the rest of my day...

The form of PTSD that vets experience is actually different than other trauma! Other types of trauma that leave someone with PTSD or trauma-spectrum disorders can mimic the flashbacks/sensations of combat PTSD but it's not typical. PTSD can be caused by any kind of mental/emotional duress, it's good that people are starting to talk about it.

Edited to add combat PTSD, whoops.
