Once you find someone willing to commit as much effort as you to your threads, the rest will fall into place, but just like real-life partnerships, a great deal of RP threads anywhere fail because of a lack of communication and differing goals. Here on SRP, the effect is magnified because no one wants to talk frankly about sex, or be friends with the people they're writing porn with. That's just awkward, right?

Well, if you want the writer on the other end to be as invested as you, effort is required. Send PMs, talk the thread through, brainstorm plots and trade jokes. Talk about yourself. Be friends with them, so that your time and your effort is worth something to them. If they don't care enough to talk to you, they're not going to care enough to continue the thread the moment it starts to bore them. Once you have a steady partner, the rest falls into place and you generally work towards what you want in unison.

I've been lucky in that respect, in that the partners I've chosen to work with are amazing people in general.

Yes and sometimes when you DO all of these things, the coward still suddenly drops you like a sack of dirt without a solitary word.

I’m not so much into the slice of life genre unless the plot is really intriguing. I may entertain some historical settings if I’m familiar. Gender: Female, so those are the characters I play. I have played men before, but I prefer women.

Age: I'm comfortable with 18 to 40.

Orientation: Cishet, but my characters can be (and have been) bi, gay, and genderfluid.

Power Exchange: Often submissive, so I like free use, some light bondage, and control... Outside of that, I prefer my partner(s) and I to be just as aggressive as me -- I'm not into femdom personally, unless it's my female partner.

Race: White, but I've also played a variety of other races and ethnicities in other contexts.

Hello, hello, hello! This is my SRP profile. I figured I should probably make one since all the cool kids have one. When I RP, I like for the stories to be decently detailed. It's much easier for me to be turned on by a a detailed story than one where we're simply trading one-liners. I like spelling and grammar to be decent, but I'm not going to wrap you on the knuckles if you're off a word or two... unless you want me to. That being said, I like posting from my phone, so it auto-corrects me sometimes and switches up my words. As a reminder, I prefer fucking, not ducking.

Gender: I'm a woman myself, so that's what I feel most comfortable playing. However, I'm curious about maybe trying to RP as a guy, seeing how that turns out. I could also play futa, but don't usually play trans (I like to shy away from that since I wouldn't know the ins-and-outs about it and don't want to be disrespectful).

Age: I am happy playing anywhere from 18-45.

Orientation: I would say I'm Bi with the inclusion of trans women or men.

Power Exchange: Unlimited POWER! Heheh. Well, I actually prefer playing sub. I do like playing dom sometimes when the clock strikes twelve, but it depends on how I'm feeling and how the story is going. I like it when the other person is somewhat wicked in one way or another.

Settings : I get to live in the present everyday, so I really like doing anything else. Fantasy or Sci-Fi settings are preferred, but different eras are fine too. If you want me to play in a modern setting, there HAS to be an element of fantasy in it or I may lose interest quickly depending on how compelling your style of writing is.

Updating My Writing Profile

Gender: Female only because that's me and I write from my point of view only which means my emotions and reactions are what I believe would actually be mine in real life.

Age: My age...33 I will play ages from 16 to 33. Hard to play older since I have never been older than 33

Orientation: Heterosexual...I'm so not lesbian. I would rather roleplay with men. I have roleplayed with a couple of women, but I find they don't quite give me the same intensity I like. I also get more emotional with guys, I think more emotion is good when writing.

Power Exchange:
I like playing a strong independent woman (which I am), at least at the beginning to the middle of the roleplay. Later in the roleplay being forced to be sexually submissive turns me on. In roleplay I like someone who wants to tame me and control everything about me, usually for a reason like revenge or outright hate. I'm strong minded and will resist from start to end. It will not turn in to a love story.

-I'm stalked, me at first having no clue it's happening. The stalker could be someone I have ignored or turned down for a date and wants revenge now or just a psycho stalker.
-I'll take suggestions on story lines too, so let me know your idea

All story lines can be tweaked so they fit what you and I both want.

(most of these stories are done through email, not on Lit)

Likes/Kinks: I like being captured, tied up, whipped, spanked, rough sex, forced orgasm, edging, anal, plugged, raped, kidnapped, gang bang (one at a time), humiliated, degraded, head games, tormented, tortured, name calling and made to feel worthless. (again all after the story is well developed)

Writing Style: First person writing, we both play ourselves (or the character we created) and write like it's us. Other characters are allowed, you bringing yours in and me bring mine in if needed. Those are of course not written first person but in how you and I hear them. Average post should be 3 to 5 paragraphs. Not too long so there is too much to respond to and not too short so there is no detail at all. The build up is often better than the actual sexual events. I like to develop characters and see my life go from "normal" to my world being turned upside down. So, nice and slow and let the characters and scene(s) develop, it's makes it much better that way....just like having real sex....haha.

Availability: Usually once a day, maybe more. I don't like losing the flow of the story. Losing the flow always sucks ;-) If unable to write on a day or days I will let you know. I expect the same in return.

If you are a man that has difficulty doing a kidnapping and/or rape/torment/torture scene then please do not respond. If you have the ability to make your character(s) be extremely dominant (or eventually become extremely dominant) if not totally psycho then please let me know, we can then have fun doing this. I can also do scenes with you playing more than one person if you are into that.

I'm looking for fellow writers with an interest in decently crafted prose, actual plot, and characters with depth and real connection. I'm only interested if you're someone who can give more than one- or two-line replies, at least a few times a week, if not daily.

Forum RP okay, private RP also okay. I do plenty of RP through GDocs & Discord.

I have my preferences but I'm also flexible in many ways, and I'd love to indulge your fantasies - if I'm not into it, I'll just be honest. As long as we respect one another, everything will be lovely.

Gender: Male.

Age: Anything legal may be fair game for me - depends on the scenario!

Orientation: Gay - I'm here strictly for male on male action, but I don't care who you are IRL. Male characters with androgynous qualities are perfectly okay with me so long as the right equipment is there!

Power Exchange: I gravitate toward playing the small, submissive, sometimes even naive bottom, but I can stretch myself into various roles given the right story hook. Power dynamics (taking advantage of a position of authority, even a bit of light humiliation) can be fun to play with, but it's not a must for me at all. I'm happy with equal exchange. I am not interested in any heavy BDSM or anything approaching rape fantasies. Consent is key, and a real connection is essential: e.g., the characters need to actually care about each other (or grow to). A story must have emotional depth or I lose interest.

Body Type: I like to play the little guy - small, youngish, compact - however, I can also play other types. As for what I'm looking for from you - anything from scrawny teen to comfy dad bod to muscle jock is fine with me, but I prefer realistic, natural bodies. I'm not looking for muscle worship.

Alternative Species: I generally stick with good old boring humans, but can be open-minded depending on the scenario; however, I'm really not into vampires, werewolves, aliens, or anything franchise-specific. If we're gonna step into the fantastical, I'd like to do something original and not far off from human.

Settings: Real world/present day is fine. I do enjoy dabbling in the historical, but I'm a big nerd when it comes to research so if you take on history with me, be prepared to write it realistically. A light fantasy setting is also fine.

Kinks: Anal, oral, all sorts of touching, sensuality/romance are what I would expect out of an SRP; beyond that, here are a few kinks. I don't have to write any of these and wouldn't require you to unless something turns your crank. Now to the list, with clarifications/caveats where appropriate:
-Watersports (I have hangups around hygiene IRL, but find it very sexy to watch, and would love to write about piss play in a safe environment!)
-Incest (yes! - brothers, dad/son, etc. - bring it on!)
-Light feminization/sissification (I haven't played with this much before but am intrigued by a certain degree of androgyny - I'm not interested in high heels or panties, but a little bit of play with cross-dressing etc. might be fun)
-Slapping/spitting/light humiliation (It would need to be a very particular scenario to be appealing but I CAN get very much into this - a trusting, caring relationship as a basis would be essential!)

Likes: Quality writing in general. A compelling story with emotional depth and intensity. There must be some kind of plot. I do enjoy a take charge guy, so I'm very happy for you pitch ideas and have lots of control over the plot, so long as you don't railroad me. I love taboos, breaking down walls, and overcoming challenges.

Dislikes: Cliches are quite possibly my biggest pet peeve - I'm not interested in a wham-bam anonymous fuck with someone who starts by posting their measurements and descriptions of their six-pack. Crappy communication also sucks - let's stay in touch throughout. If you're running out of steam or life gets in the way, I totally understand and that's cool - just give me the courtesy of a quick PM instead of just disappearing. I also dislike when writers disregard my limits. Pushing boundaries in a story can be fun - please don't push me IRL, and I wouldn't have thought I'd have to say this, but judging by some experiences, I may have to: when I say I'm here just for gay RP, I mean it - no pussy. Finally, I dislike sloppy writing skills. Frequent spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors are a turnoff.

Hard Limits: I give a big nope to scat, blood/gore, nonconsent, slavery, abuse, and TV/movie/book plots or characters, especially anime.

Availability: In most cases I can post daily, sometimes more than once.

  Plot: The plot is the key. It's what I find the hardest of all when it comes to writing. It's not enough to just have a set-up scenario, we need to come up with an idea as to what will actually happen to these characters. I'm not saying we have to develop everything, but a rough direction would be good. That's not to say that sometimes a 'lets see where this goes' mentality isn't fun, but if the end goal is just 'they have sex', the story will falter. We'll work together on this and I'm sure we can come with some great story plots!
  Details: As with everyone on here, I'm looking for the details to really get me going. Feelings, senses, it's all good! Just do you're job
  Length: I have no hard limits for lengths of post. Sometimes a short post to respond in a conversation, or a long paragraph to push the story along is what is needed. I would ask that you avoid one liner posts though, as I'm sure you can think of something else to put!
  Settings: Here we go! So Fantasy and Sci/Fi are my bread and butter. It's where I am most comfortable. I want to play around with Horror/Thriller too, and modern day is ok as long as it has some kind of twist or some hook to get me interested. Let me know about other settings you may want to do though, I want to test my experiences! I also want to mention incest here. You won't find it in either list below because it's not something I care too much about one way or the other. If you want to do an incest story, then it has to fall into another setting as well - not just modern day. Talk to me about it if it's something you really want to do.
  Grammar/Punctuation: I promise to do my best in ensuring my posts are literate, free of grammar and spelling mistakes. I ask for you to do the same. Likewise, if you see a glaring mistake in my writing, I'm absolutely ok with constructive criticism so get in there with your highlighter!
  Communication: As I said, I'm an open and honest person. Hopefully you'll also be honest with me. If you don't like something, don't just disappear! We can work it out or mutually agree that something isn't working.
  The Game: Again, I only mention this because it has happened before. Work with me, be free to take the story in a direction and allow me to do the same. Don't railroad it though and don't follow along like a sheep. We're partners, lets work together to craft something amazing!
  Characters: Pet Peeve numero-uno. Don't write my character's actions or reactions unless we've specified. Thanks!
  Style: My preferred writing is third person in the past tense. It's the easiest to write in. Unless you have a good reason for another...

Alternate species/fantasy races/furries/mutations: This would be new to me, but I would be willing to try. Something completely alien from human form would probably be difficult for me, though. But something sci-fi or fantasy with elves or aliens could certainly fly… It would probably need to be firmly rooted in a good setting though, since my inclination is to be human from the world we live in

Settings: My own sets mainly stem from our own day and age. However, I’m into history, and there are periods that fascinate me, like colonial times, industrial revolution era, belle epoque… I can also do future settings, I would think, and, in relation to the above, probably also fantasy and sci-fi… I the story is good

Likes/kinks: I write long passages and enjoy exploring the psyche of our characters, so I take time to explore. I like exhibitionism, I like threesomes and orgies, I like glamour, I like naughty things like unfaithfulness, or exploiting sexuality to gain some advantage, like advancing careers or status. Race: White, and don't feel comfortable playing any other - too easy fall into and perpetuate stereotypes, appropriate, etc. I don't want to mess around with race on here.

Bodytype: I'm pretty average in most regards. 5'8", sorta slim build - dad bod, but I do a lot of distance running, so while I have some pockets of fat here and there, I'm also kinda skinny. Brown hair, blue eyes. But this is where I feel like I can do a lot of different body types. In fact I'd find it fun to explore some other options.

Alternate species/fantasy races/furries/mutations: Really interested in doing anything with this. Just like with body type above, I'd love to explore some new possibilities and have experience with writing some of this

Settings: I prefer a standard contemporary. Even if doing some of the more fantastical stuff above, I like doing that in the modern, everyday world that happens to have this fantasy twist to it.
