Stay smooth

Laser hair removal. Hurts like hell for the first two treatments or so, but after that, it is no big deal. Some of the hair will eventually grow back, but it will be much less and much finer. It comes off with a razor like peach fuzz. It was expensive, but it was well worth it.

My problem is I am a natural ginger. Laser only picks black and dark brown hair.

I recently shaved my private area and I really like it.
For the ladies (or anyone) — how do you stay smooth and avoid the stubble and itching? Is waxing the only way to do it? I have both an electric shaver and woman’s gillete venus shaver.
I’ve read there are certain oils/creams that can be used but that doesnt sound right.

Is waxing my only option? If yes, how painful is it to get a Brazilian?

I shave my pubes everyday. Have for over 20 years. My wife too. We have found the secret is the razor and the blade. Get the right one, and it's quick, comfortable, and gets the job done.

Over the last few years we have preferred the Gillette Fusion handle and blade. The handle rotates the blade smoothly in all directions and built to handle curves. We love it.

I would definitely opt for waxing or laser treatment as a long term solution. As others have said go to an expert. My waxing girl is amazing, and it’s a lot less painful than you think.

There’s some great advice here. And some weird advice. (⌒-⌒; )

I’ll break down some general advice for a few different methods.

If opting to shave use a clean fresh blade. Try not to go over the same area more than 1-2 times. Use a cream or lathered body wash so the blade moves cleanly over the skin. If you want the closest shave, go against the grain. This, however, can lead to the dreaded ingrown hairs and razor rash more often than shaving with the hair direction growth. Choose which ever is more comfortable for you.

The most important thing is to make sure to follow up with something to act as aftershave. I like witch hazel but you can get antiseptic sprays and creams made specifically for this purpose. You want to do this to help kill any bacteria that might cause inflammation (razor rash). Follow that with moisturizer. In between shaves you’ll want to exfoliate to help keep the area smooth. I use anything from apricot scrub to fancy AHA creams.

Waxing - it’s easier when someone else does it. If you can find a waxing salon, they’ll have lots of info for you and can walk you through their products and procedures. Listen to them for the specifics. That said, the first couple of times it helps to take and OTC pain reliever about 30 minutes before the appointment, it’ll help keep inflammation down during and after. The same advice to exfoliate the area from above matters here, too. Just don’t do that, swim, or have sex for around 24 hours after getting waxed (this time may vary for you) this is just to avoid introducing bacteria and exposure to irritants. Also, no sun, it’s tender skin so treat it gently. After the first few times it gets way easier.

There is also epilation devices and depilatory creams. I don’t recommend either for sensitive areas such as the bikini area. Same deal: kill bacteria, exfoliate, moisturizer and repeat.

Laser hair removal - no experience. In my research, it can be quite expensive depending on where you live (unfortunately $$$$ in my area). The results can be worth it but you’ll want to find a reputable provider. You’ll also want to make sure you have the ideal hair for the procedure and be aware that lighter colored hair may not be effectively treated via laser. :)

Also keep in mind that some people are just really prone to getting bumps so most of the advice here may only improve the situation but not make it perfect. Hopefully some of this helps.

It's never been a deal-killer for me, but personally I prefer pubic hair. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want with their own body, and I am not fool enough to reject a woman because she has a bare pussy, but there is something about the softness, warmth, and mystery of that triangle that I personally find very appealing.

I 100% agree

I know the in thing these days is the clear bald look but It has no character like the at least some pubic hair has. Once you get waxed or a Brazilian does it ever grow back and if so how long. Being from the senior generation pubic hair is what I grew up with.

I had never experienced a “waxed pussy” until a month ago. My wife has been mostly shaved since early into our relationship, to please me. She usually has hair above her vagina, but none on the sides and below. My wife had been waxed once before, and had made me aware of this before we were married. I had made off-hand remarks over the years about when she was going to get waxed for me. We have been married 15 years. The subject came up again about two months ago. I let her know it kind of ticked me off that she waxed for another guy, but has never done it for me. She told me to find her a good place to go, make her an appointment and she would do it. Enough said! Done! The results were amazing!! The appearance and feel far exceeded m expectations. I wanted her so bad when I saw her with NO HAIR whatsoever. You always miss some with shaving, especially around the back and bottom. There wasn’t a hair to be found and the smoothness was incredible. I had the strongest desire to rim her ovsr and over.
Glad you like your wife’s new waxed look. I will never go back to shaving. I feel that bare is hotter and easy access for me and the partner. ;)

Sugaring

No one has mentioned this. Can be done easily at home and is similar to waxing. Make your own materials right in the kitchen. Or you can have it done professionally.

There’s a sugaring studio near me that advertises for men “Backs, cracks and sacks.”

Medicated Bag Balm works great

Oops just noticed this

Read my latest post, an epilator works best for me, its about being able to easily regularly redo at home.

My wife and I were waiting for a bus right beside the local wax and laser place and I was thinking I would love to get lasered. But where to even start? Armpits?

And it is kind of expensive.
