Strap-on harness advice?

I love my harness made by Aslan Leather. I have the rubber one but the leather one is the same design. This manages to get everything poised in the right place. The right place, for me, has never been to have my dildo poking me in the pubic bone, if you catch my drift.

Hiya Pink. Mrs Popcorn has a Four-Strap Leather one for us..It has four snaps that hold the dildo on and a leather pad behind the shaft to help avoid chafing. You can also get the snap on Vacu-lock Adapter that opens up another full line of dildos to use.
When you do get one I would suggest a smoothie, like this one

the ones with allot of textures may be fine for vaginal use but Ive found that they can be rather hard on the ole booty for prolonged thrusting. I would also like to recommend I.D. Personal Lubricant as well...Its the best rated lube in the world and we think it works GREAT!

We already use a big thick dildo with texture which I think he likes which is why I picked the other thicker wider, more detailed ones,

That one is nice too, but it's the glossy slickness that I don't like about it. Not enough nerve sensation going on.

We have a favorite lube for anal play, and it's not one of those water based ones. We use 100% pure vegetable Crisco. I'll never go back to water based again.

Thanks for the advice, but we are well aware of what we like as far as toys and lube. I just want to find a decent strap on that I can actually fuck with.

I only have as comparison the terra firma from Stormy ordered through good vibrations. A very popular model of harness, often praised by lots of people.

I would say that the one I have is worth every penny more than I paid for the terra firma. But everyone's a bit different. I'd hate to be evangelical about my harness only to have you be disappointed in it, as I was with the terra firma though other people swear by theirs.

Every time I've cut corners buying something I have regretted it. I'd compare Aslan gear to Mr. S any day of the week, though, the quality is terrific.

I'm willing to pay more if the quality is better. I need to feel comfortable.

Sorry it wasn't meant to be taken like I was telling you what strapon to use or what lube....that's just what weve tried and liked....
By the way...I always thought the oil based lubes would break down the jelly plastics in dildos. We have a really hard plastic probe like this.

... that weve used olive oil and vasoline on but never used anything but water base with our strapon dildos. Are the dildos your using made of latex?

Concerning the retail price of a strap-on harness

It is my experience that the actual cost of the materials in a harness is a small percentage (maybe 10% to 35%) of the final retail cost. And, there is not that much of a difference in poor quality and good quality materials and fasteners. Some manufactures go with plastic instead of metal, nylon instead of leather, etc. The rest of the cost is labor and markup. When trying to determine the markup, consider the other costs that the seller has (retail store(s), warehouse(s), advertising, paying models for pictures, etc.).

Also, in the article i wrote about strap-on harnesses, i mention my "three harness theory" in which a woman eventually learns that retail price becomes less and less of factor in acquiring a harness. Fit, features, and, functionality become more important. So, for example, are you willing to pay two to five dollars less for fasteners that don't work very well? A few dollars less for stitching, stapling, or, riveting that comes apart much sooner? At what point does "looking cool" become less important than "it fits and it works"?
