How depressing. I just found this thread. I am, obviously, not an author.
Just a reader. But I sometimes respond to the requests for votes or inputs or whatever. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I have read and attempt to make honest and reasoned votes and comments. Now I learn it is easily offset by someone with an agenda of some sort. Siiiggghhh! Or someone intentionally wishing to annoy. More sighs and the beginning of a bout of depression.

Tasteful...you aren't the type of reader that we worry about, I honor any honest comment...it is more the readers that are authors, Because if your story has a higher rating than their story...and even if it is a better story, it don't matter you will get a low rating from them. And that sucks....sorry!

Loving Wives
At one point in time I was determined to post in almost every category and see what happened, although I haven't actually done so. But I did write once in the "Loving Wives" category although others warned me I had to have thick skin. Actually it's been very well received, and I had a few very positive comments. I don't really know what they're looking for unless it's something refreshing and positive.
Feel free to peruse my post. But I'd appreciate it if you didn't score me "0" multiple times just because you can <grin>
