Submitted Story Got Sorted into Loving Wives and I'm Terrified

Yes, my first story was submitted under romance. Category was changed to LW by whoever proof read it. The comments were so severe I just deleted the worst. I thought about deleting the story and just walking away. Instead I just walked away altho' I still read from the site but decided writing/submitting weren't for me. Sometime later I went to my Author page to find that that stories readership had gone from 4000, 4/5 favs (or thereabouts) on initial release to 35000 readership and about 21 favs. It was in 'random stories for LW category' were I guess a wider readership venture. I probably should say I don't do the voting thing or readers comments section(with a couple of exceptions) with my stories. Anyway it buoyed me to keep writing. In the end as others have said; write for you and sod the rest.

I recently submitted a story for publishing and it's set to go up tomorrow and I just noticed that it's been sorted into the Loving Wives category. I had submitted it under Erotic Couplings (because I NEVER want to submit to LW) but I understand why the editor probably changed it.

That said, I am terrified of it getting published now. I frequent LW as a person that loves those types of stories so I am well aware of the hate, vitriol, and review bombing that occurs. This really worries me, especially about my other stories cause I'm concerned certain readers will go on to bomb my other works as well.

Honestly, I don't think there's anything I can do about this but just wanted to voice my fears to see if maybe I can appeal to get it back to Erotic Couplings?

I would just write the story off and start on a new one. Worst category to post in.

We too got trashed by the anonymous trolls upon submitting our first story.
At first it bothered us but then I came to enjoy the power of deleting their pathetic little voices with the tap of that garbage can icon.

I almost always publish in the LW category. Look at it this way, the haters read your story and you created a strong emotion in them. What more Could you want. Your writing effected someone so b@day they had to complain.. not about your writing but about the subject and how you handled it.

bad reviewers in LW are fans. They read your story several times, can quote it as they complain about It.
