“Hey, it’s okay. Let’s just enjoy breakfast okay? I didn’t make a smiley-faced pancake to see you eating it with a frown.” Piper ate the rest of her pancake, grabbing a few pieces of bacon and munching on them too.
As suggested, she left him to the dishes and went upstairs to change. She ended up wearing a red dress that flared out from her waist, a black scarf around her neck, and a pair of cute black Mary-Jane-style shoes. All the other necessary preparations for a day out were made, and she finally walked down the stairs with her purse. She had taken some more money out of her sock drawer, there was some cash in her wallet.
Her eyes rolled at his comment. “Just because I don’t throw on whatever is laying around doesn’t mean I take a long time, geeze.” Piper walked over to him and plucked the cigarette out of his hand and walked out the sliding door with it, dropping it on the pavement and smushing it with her foot. “Let’s go, then,” she said with a smirk.
Piper got into the driver’s seat this time and started up the car, waiting for him to get in before starting to drive off to the game shop. She wanted to have the phone case and key chain before she got her phone so she could use them immediately. Since he had been a little jumpy today, she figured it would be better if she drove.
“So, Joe. When is the next DND session?”
