LOL - and we thought buying gas for an SUV was expensive...

Here she comes again.

Here who comes again?

That back east lady that just moved in down the street.

So why do you say it like that?

I don't know, just wierd I guess.

Wierd how...

Well, like she comes in 4 or 5 times a day and fills up a 2 gallon gas jug. I asked her the other day if she was mowing a lot of grass. She just giggled and turned red.

I walk around talking to myself a lot any more it seems. Talking to the cat like she's a people. Mostly I talk to her. I caught myself at it this morning. I said something that was intended to make her laugh and call me a "goofy bastard".

I love that. To make her laugh. I would go to great lengths to make her laugh, to catch her off guard and make her laugh and call me a nut, or a goofy bastard. After hangin' out with me all those years, she started calling me dipshit occassionaly. And she would laugh.

I liked the way laughing changed her. The sparkle in her eye and the smile, the way she looked at me when I said or did something that made her laugh. Sometimes it was like I was "on" all the time - mind flying, trying to come up with something new, something different, a surprise for her - something to make her laugh, something to make her look at me the way she looked at me when I made her laugh.

We had laughter.

And touch. One of us was touching the other always. Holding hands maybe, a hand on a thigh, or carressing, scratching, rubbing the other's back. We never sat opposite each other in a booth, but always next to each other - her on my left, always. She is left handed, her on my left was easy on both of us. Her on my right was all elbows and accidents.

I tend to sit forward at a table, like at a bar - propped on my elbows - a slob. I would turn toward her - and unless we were discussing something earnestly, she sat back and her hand went to my back automatically. Softly, carressing, soothing.

The world was in her touch. There was healing, there was peace. It was like there was nothing that could ever be so wrong, as long as we could touch. I think back on it now and calculate that she controlled me with her touch, like some sort of ersatz puppet...

You're getting a little loud...
That is inappropriate...
I'm still here...
You sure are a goofy bastard...
I'd like another drink...
I'm horny now, take me home.

All in her touch.

Her laughter, the green eyed sparkle, the smile, the touch...

And this morning I came off with a good one and I laughed. It sounded funny. My laughter in this empty house. That is what caught my attention. They are all gone...

There is no laughter...
There is no sparkle...
There is no touch.

The coffee is on.

OK OK OK! Nosey Nellies!!! :D

It ain't a party without a balloon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

I had to run out to get her card yesterday morning. Just never got time to do it during the week and I was filling the helium balloons I got her earlier when I was down in the garage. ;)

She can tell you about her present. We spent the night at Harrah's for free, had a prime rib dinner and dessert for $15, and played the slots for about three hours before we went upstairs and really started the games.

:nana: :nana: :nana:

Happy Tuesday everybody. And

Happy Birthday Beamer, my love!

Well shit, then I guess we're all nuts because I talk to my cat all the time too. I also expect an answer when I ask him something. I'll ask him where something is when I can't find it and many times he'll lead me right to it. I'll ask him to go get my roommate sometimes and he'll jump right up and go into the next room and meow.

Cats can be very good at conversation if you listen to what they're saying.

Well now! That is not goofy. It is inovative. It is a little bird of heaven right there in your hand.

Ya never know - you might turn into a real horsewoman with one of those around...

Morning Booze et al.

Were not Beam's pics great... Thanks Mav...I was beginning to despair we would ever see pics of your lovely lady again.

Hope everyone is well out there...trying to peek in and see what is going on in my limited online time these past few weeks.

Macx...hope you will wipe the grease off you hands long enough to write us another story...preferably before you mash one of your fingers with a slippery wrench  ...those blue fingernails take a long time to grow back :D
