The auld Library.

*writes a note*

Sorry, I missed you again. Opening hours must clash with my work. Talk soon and say hi to CK for me.

*puts note on desk and whistles to himself as he shuts the door behind him*

Sorry mate - nah - I live on the surf coast. the closest big place is geelong - about 45 mins away. surfing, swimming, fishing - that sort of stuff. I'm more of a fisherman (hence the tag) and swimmer.

Oh right, I've never really been lower than Wagga.

Well I've been most places in Australia because of work. I used to fly nearly every day till I got sick of it. I remember you mentioned Dubbo - I used to work around there a bit - well Bathurst really, but I did some work in Dubbo. One of the towns around there had the best name - Nevertire

Yes, I'm in Dubbo right now and I used to live near Orange.
But Wollongong is where I'm most at home, seeing as I actually have friends there.
And what do you do?

Very forward aren't you? ;)

What do you do?

God - I used to enjoy Orange and Parkes too (especially in autumn)! Can't remember which town it was, but one used to have this weird elvis impersonator festival every year and i was there once. Shitloads of fun at the pub, that's for sure. But I didn't live there so don't know how they are to be there full time. Now I write, but still do a tiny bit of what I used to do but not much. I was an engineer, but travel was shocking. Then my wife fell very ill. So I do something where i can still look after my family.

Parkes is the place with the Elvis festival.
You're a professional writer?
Wow, what do you write?
You think you can have a look at my current works and give me a few pointers?

How did I know you'd ask that.... I saw your link before when I came in so I'll have a look at that. I'm not a very critical person though....

My bread and butter is corporate stuff and technical papers so pretty boring really. It's a good niche though - I have a degree in engineering and a degree in journalism. Engineers that speak/write coherently are in great demand!

Well, it wasn't really for that one.
Just on my new series, I might get around to redoing that story, one day but for now I just want to get this one out.
I've decided to take as many real life memories as I can to put in to it, not to mention motifs and inspiration from music, hopefully it's as good as I picture it to be in my mind.

In most writing, you should aim to please yourself. People like you will like it. If you're lucky, then a lot of others like it too! If you PM me a bit of it, like the start or something, then I'll have a look at it. I might be a bit slow on the turn around, but will have a squiz.

Ok - enjoy yourself, I gotta go do some coaching. At least it's still lovely out there.

See you soon

By the way - good library - the foot traffic is starting to increase! ;)

Ok I'll send you some of the parts I think need work.
Might as well get some opinions on chapter two while I wait for chapter one to come out of the garage.

**Bit early to read a book, but worth poking my head in.**

Hello?

**Nah - back to work**

**wandering about whistling, taking a break from work, peeks in, but the library is empty - walks back to desk - oh well - work.....**

Only for a little while :)

I have to go back again soon though - doing a question and answer session with someone for a corporate profile

He's ok. My son loves it. He gets a lot of airplay (now). Had to fight for it. I remember him on Tiple J in the mid 2000's - just plugging away.

I take it you're a big fan!

Oh, missed you buddy!
I've completely run out of steam for my Angel story.
But the thing is, I've just found new excitement in another story, inspired by my clubbing days.
I have 2500+ words but they're all in a book.
Going to have fun scribing.

Managed to put the phrase "Tickle ya cunt with a feather." Into chapter two of my story.
How many people will get what that means, I don't know.
