The best James Bond movie?

For Your Eyes Only was definitely a great one. The only remotely serious Roger Moore movie. Also one of the best soundtracks.

Movie tastes are all over the place for everybody and I'm no different, though I did mean to say those movies were all high end meh for me. Nothing wrong with them at all, just nothing that made me want more. Except Legion.

yeah, I kept thinking about that.
We're all looking for the same experience (to escape) when choosing our movies, but we reach that experience in different ways.

For me it's not as much about the plot (although it has to be decent enough) as about my emotional experience.
Movies like 'Centurion', 'The international', 'Safehouse'/ 'Resident evil', 'Eden Lake', 'The Descent'', 'Doomsday' and so on managed to do that for me.
I guess it had to do with their soundtracks and visual effects. And overall they created a vibrant world that was far removed from the mundane or boring day-to day stuff

Other people respond to the plot - the intellectual or action side of it.
I guess the same goes for the type of jokes or other things that we tend to respond to.

I'll go with the original CASINO ROYALE with David Niven, Woody Allen, and a seal as 007s.

Classic.

They don't make'em like that anymore.

Too bad.

Oh dear god I dislike Resident Evil with a passion. Mostly because the are such rediculous takes on the source material. If I'm being honest the first and one or two of the others aren't terrible movies taken on their own but they have little relationship with the video games. To the point of I don't know why they didn't just name them Biohazard and instead of shoehorning the main characters in, change the names of the ones you can't avoid (mostly Wesker) and start fresh.

Okay I do know. It's the same reason they made a Battleship movie. Brand names sell and a crappy movie with a good brand will most likely outsell a good movie without a brand backing it. And even if it doesn't when you're selling it to the guy upstairs it's a lot easier not to get in trouble when you can say "HOW COULD JAMES BOND 39 FAIL?!" Instead of "Scott Pilgrim vs The World is a good damn movie. Not my fault nobody watched in theatres. Go listen to their reviews."

But yeah like I said I know my taste in movies is bonkers. I'm the guy who thanked El Ray for deciding that the one thing X-mas needed was 48 straight ours of the true OG. GODZILLA!!!!!!!!!
