The Cafe.... in The Lounge

Steps in and rifles through his drawer of tea, coming up with a decent Earl Grey. I fill a mug with hot water, drop the bag in and add a little cream and sugar. Pulling the bag out after a few minutes, a sip and it's perfect.

You have to be careful with your black teas, because over brewing them makes them bitter. A good earl grey can tell you when it's been over brewed because the scent is a little strong. I like to under brew mine, because it comes out a little sweeter.

grins

Sorry, there is an art to a beautiful cup of tea, much like there is to coffee. Or wine!

Holds out a free hand

I'm Vi. Welcome to the lounge

EDIT- giggles and waves after a fleeing Yeishia
Thanks, darlin!

*nods* Im sure brewing tea is an art as well.

*takes Vi's offering and places a gentle kiss on top of her forehand*

It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Chino.

*looks over to DW and smirks*

Or as DW likes to call me, Mister C.

Smiles at the gentle kiss

Nice to meet you, Chino.

Blows a kiss at Dw

Morning doll.
How are you both?

Finds a perch and sips my tea

I'm good. Tired as hell. I'll be glad when we finally slip into the new year with the insanity of the holidays behind us. How are you holding up, Vi?

I'm doing well, been busy which is nice. I'm ready to put the holidays behind me as well, and Jan is shaping up to be a good month, writing wise, so that's exciting.

Hang in there doll. Did your brother leave yet?

*nods* He did. He and his girl left yesterday morning. They got to Kingsman, Az. before they called it a night. They were up bright and early this morning and heading out again.

Doing well. Can't complain. *he smiles in response to Vi*

*he nestles himself between Vi and DW at the bar counter while scooting closer to DW*

*finds his mug sitting on the bar top and proceeds to sip the unfinished drink while listening to Vi and DW converse*

*sets her mug on the counter and reaches out to fist the front of his shirt, leaning over to plant a kiss on the corner of his mouth before withdrawing*

You can blame the female elf for that.

*she released his shirt, smoothed it down and retrieved her mug again.*

Smiles I'm glad. It's so hard to be a big sister, cause you can't tell them no. I hope you're feeling okay with it now.

Finishes my tea and smiles as Chino sits and scoots close to DW.

Thank you both for a lovely morning, but I must be off to get some writing and work done.

DW, darlin get some rest. Chino it was fabulous to meet you, looking forward to seeing you around.

Waves to them both before slipping out the door

*enjoys DW's tackle-kiss* Well, now... don't start something you can't finish. *he grins, leaning over and places a soft nibble on DW's ear lobe*

:D

*makes a soft small sound in her throat, before clearing it*

Ummm... I think the elf's kissing bug stops at a kiss. *grins* and unfortunately, like Vi, I must be off. I'm being summoned elsewhere for the time being. Sorry Mr. C. One of these days, I'll come back and we can.. um... take inventory in your stock room.

I'm working on it, Vi. The sleep that is. I'm still not happy with the way he chose to do this, but hey... it's his life, he has to live it. He knows he can come home again if/when he needs to. Catch you around, Vi.

*she leaned close and kissed Mr C's cheek and tucked a bill into the waistband of his pants with another grin*

Thanks for the coffee, Mr. C. Same time tomorrow?

She winked and sauntered out.

*sits down in a comfy, plush lounge seat with a cup of french roast after opening up the Cafe and waits for DW*

Happy Saturday Lit!

The door banged open and there stood a wild looking red-headed beast. Her hair wildly draped over one eye, both of which, were barely open. They were mere slits, but she could see the counter. Everything was focused on that damn counter. Her head swung right, then left as she muttered and slid onto a stool. An impatient hand brushed away her fiery locks from her face.

"Mr. C!! Where the hell are you??? Coffee. Now, please. Something strong, hot and gets my attention.... just how I like my men." She managed the last with a soft laugh then groaned, letting her head smack against her arms on his counter.

"Why the bloody hell am I awake so damn early on a Saturday?!"

As intensity of the door as it was swung open followed by the sight of the red-headed zombie creature caused him to fall off the stool at which he was sitting, careening to the floor. He began scooting backwards on his ass until he realized it was just DW.

"Sweet mother of pearl woman! Did you want to give me a heart attack?" he retorted as he caught his breath and his pacing heart resumed it's normal beat.

Resuming his upright stance, he would sluggishly make his way behind the coffee counter. After getting a general idea of what to make for DW, he retrieves a bag of Italian roast and dumps the fresh beans into the coffee grinder. The machinery hums as the precious beans are churned into fine granular fit for brewing the beverage. As the hot liquid is filtered and collects into the sterile pot, he pours it into DW's red mug.

He cracks a peppermint tart into the beverage and serves it with a light topping of whip cream. He slowly pushes the drink in front of DW and stares back into her eyes with a soft smile.

"I know it's an early morning for you," he agreed. "Good morning sweetheart."

The sweet intoxicating smell of coffee freshly ground coffee beans makes her nose twitch. Lifting her head, her fingers reach out to curl around her cup like a drowning rat clinging to something for life. She shot him a grateful look, raising the mug to her lips.

Oh heavens... she has died and gone to heaven, right? There is no possible feeling better than this... wait... there is... just one. It doesn't count right now.

She sat up straighter on her stool, brushing her hair out of her face and gave Mr. C a grin. It was something more akin to a lioness staring at prey and grinning, but hey, a grin was a grin, after all.

"Sorry, Mr. C. Coffee's the only thing that returns me to human in the morning. Didn't mean to scare ya."

She took another sip and closed her eyes to enjoy the dark liquid coursing down her throat.

"You're an angel, Mr. C. A real angel. I swear."

Catching the DW's grin, he displays a smirk across his soft lips, before drawing his own personal mug to allow the caffeinated ether sooth his eager throat.

"It's ok," he chuckles. "I think that provided me the wake up that I needed."

He bravely takes one of DW's free hands, and places a gentle kiss atop her forehand. "You're an angel yourself darlin'."

She smiled at him. At least he had the sense not to try and take up her right hand which had a death grip around her mug.

"Oh, I'm no angel, Mr. C. Hardly that. So. How are you this morning?"

"Not bad. Just monitoring the finances, and getting ready to tackle today. A lot of grocery shopping, housekeeping and family related things to attend to today. And yourself?"

Much the same here. Only, I'm procrastinating on getting the day started. I'm blaming the fact that it's freaking cold out and the stores still being closed help my cause. But eventually, I will have to wander out and then to whip the house into shape for the new year.

Coffee Coffee Cawfayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! *embraces his warm mug of Colombian roast*
