Made it through all five Thin Man movies which surprised me. Eleven hours of fun and mayhem. I thought I would be lucky to get through three. Started at 6pm and went through to 5am. If anyone around here celebrated the new year, they did it quietly. Hurray.

I don't know for sure, but I have heard around here that McDonald's french fries are good for hangovers.

Been thinking of the girls in Afghanistan and wondering how they are. At least I haven't seen any really bad news from there for a few days.

I've sent them a couple of e-mails, but don't know when they'll be able to respond.

Hope March gets here soon and brings them all home safely.
