The China Pearl Inn part 7

You guys are getting way too much snow and cold. But it is really weird here. We still have temps in the low 60s and no precipitation. There is a prediction that we might get some rain/snow next week, but we shall see. No sighting of any lizards or pretty much any other life around here. No breeze, the cottonwood has lost all its leaves, there is nothing to watch outside.

Daytime tv is not making up for the lack of action outside. LOL

Just heard about your weather problems in the States. Please, PLEASE be safe!

Hi SF

I bet your Lizard is hibernating. As for daytime TV, two years ago I caught the flu and had to stay in bed for a week. As I started getting better I sat up to watch the TV. It nearly sent me into a relapse. Then I discovered the nature channel and enjoyed that.

CG has been skiing, I bet he’s asleep now. Bless him

Yes I was skiing today Sal but not asleep. It was a great day on the slopes, snowing, fresh trails it was great Sal! :D

CG seems to have unlimited amounts of energy. I think he sucks it out of the townfolk where he lives. I am positive he has mine. ;)

Ahhhh S F you make me sound like a vampire when I would be much more comfortable as a werewolf.:devil:ish :D

J am a firm believer if we do not keep moving ands doing we rust away.;)

Got to submit one of my engineering finals tomorrow - just one more then I can concentrate on Military. Booked an interview with HWO for Sunday to see if I can get some time next week.

But enough of me. How is everyone? Hope you’re being good CG

So THAT’S what that howling was!

0520 hours here, and we’re off on a 4 mile run. Anyone want to join us?

Nah Robyn there won’t be a full moon until the end of the month and a Blue moon at that so it must have been a Wolfish whistle for a gal in her running togs.

I hadn't pictured you quite so hairy. Or is that furry? hmmm

Oh definitely furry, soft luxurious fur S F.

Not with werewolves running around in the woods.

Maybe it isn’t werewolves. Maybe it’s vampires! Well I’ve always been fond of steak! I mean Stake! Lol.

Went to the gymn with the girls this evening and practiced my tennis. We have three indoor courts that have seen better days (uneven surface) so if I can get to know the landmarks ...

Meanwhile poor Supergirl has got her engineering write ups to do ready for her finals in the spring. I admire her so much, studying engineering AND undertaking officer training. No wonder HSG thinks we’ll soon all be calling her Ma’m!

like your keeping yourself busy Sal. I am sticking close to the hearth, bitter cold night coming up and a high tomorrow of -15F. More logs for the fire.;)

Its funny to see everyone talking about how cold it is. I'm right in the middle of a perfect tropical summer down here in the southern hemisphere. I'm sun burnt. lol

Must be strange having Christmas in the winter. All my Christmas memories are summer memories.

Uggg:rose:

Being Jewish I don’t celebrate Christmas as such but I remember as a little girl we lived in Sydney for 2 years while my Dad was working for a big American engineering company designing turbo engines for aircraft (can’t remember which company). December, January, February were so hot and sticky. This song sums it up

Yup I've experienced a couple of Ozy summers too. Darwin's was the hardest to endure. Of all the Australian Cities I think Melbourne is the only one I'd want to live in for long. I can't stand winter though- wouldn't want to be in Melbourne in the winter.

No I'm happy where I am now. Deep blue sea as far as the eye can see, that's where you'll find me.

Uggg:rose:

Robyn you got to love Aussie humor.;)

So hard at work on your engineering submission?

Uggg nice to see you back.

I did an R&R out at Allice Springs I found it a might warm and dry.

Had a great afternoon at tennis, J won the first set on a tie break, I won the second 6-4 and he won the final set on a tie break so it was close.

I’m taking him to the local Tandoori restaurant tonight. Robyn needs me out of our quarters as she submits her penultimate Engineering assignment.

Yay for you Sal. And now for a wonderful evening out. You go girl.

It sounds you have quite an extra load compared to the others. I'm sure you can handle it though. Good luck with the HWO.

Sal while you are enjoying tennis on a rather challenging surface I am stocking the fire as with wind chills here today it is a brisk -45F and I dare not think what it is when the wind gusts. So the fire on the hearth at present is my dearest friend and I see no need to leave its side.

Have an enjoyable evening with your West Pointer, you deserve it my friend.

Good Day Luv2bkd I hope it is warmer where you arte that here.

This past week was cold, at least by our standards. Lows in the single digits and highs around 40. Certainly nothing like your part of the country and the rest of the northeast have been getting. The next few days, lows around freezing and highs around 60, upper 60s for Tuesday.

Luv2bfkd 60 sounds like balmy summer to me at the moment. It is good to hear that things at warming up for you. I think a rich hardy soup tonight and a sandwich and a snuggle with the fire Luv.;)

Thanks for giving me the time and space Storm, hope you enjoyed your day too. I’ve checked it, packed it and sent it via SMD to my engineering tutor. He will look at it and call me in in a fortnight to discuss before submitting it to the university.

Luv2bfkd, I see the HWO tomorrow.

CG you look cold! Come here! Let me warm you up
