The China Pearl Inn part 7

I would think that you could recognize a drop of gin buried in anything. But maybe you have drunk so much that your taste buds are diluted. :D

That's mean talk.:( It had all kinds of other ingredients, it tasted very nice but not at all like gin.

Those kind of fruity drinks are dangerous. They go down easy and then hit you hard. I haven't had an alcoholic drink in decades and I never got drunk but I liked tequila sunrises and sloe gin fizzes. But alcoholic drinks were a lot more expensive than a soda and since it was the sweet I liked, it didn't seem worth the additional price so I never drank much. I haven't had a complete drink since I was under 25. I did have a taste of an Adios when I was older. Not sure what was in the blue drink but it was good. Apparently, you have a couple of those and you say adios as you sink under the table. LOL

Huh, lot of alcohol in it.

ADIOS MOTHER FUCKER

Collins glass, shake then add your 7up.
½ oz. Vodka.
½ oz Gin.
½ oz Rum.
1/2 oz tequila (optional)
½ oz Blue Curacao.
2 oz sweet/sour.
Top with 7UP.

Then serve with a dash of love;)... oh and a little umbrella:D

It has been a long time, but I am pretty sure there was an umbrella. The girl that ordered several of those likes heavy alcohol with umbrella drinks. She could barely walk out of the place. I had to drive her car home for her. LOL Always good to have a designated driver.

Hope CG gets back soon (eyes Uggg nervously) we're getting near the witching hour of 5K+ posts, the room'll need to regenerate soon.

Wow that was quick. I  this thread.

Uh oh, already? Last time I looked it was in the three thousands.

What is Pimm's liqueur made of?
Just "Pimm's and sparkling lemonade." Pimm's is a British gin-based liqueur with bitter herbs and citrus, also known as a "fruit cup" because it's meant to be mixed in a tall drink with an effervescent mixer and fruit garnish.

And you added gin to a gin based liqueur. :D

I think I recall asking CG what we should do and he said he’d deal with it. Maybe we should hold off posting until CG gets back. OR is it up to Chris to open the next one?

Here it’s 0400 hours, I could sleep in but my body clock is bust! Once I’m back at OTS i’ll Swear at the alarm!

See you all on the Part 8 thread. Over to you Chris

I don't think it is a huge emergency. Last time we went 223 posts over the 5000 before CG got around to starting part 7. If it comes to it and we HAVE to start before CG gets back, Chris can do it. CG left him in charge, but we don't have to panic or even stop posting.

Yes, I'll do it if need be but CG didn't say anything about it so hopefully he'll be back in time to deal with it if there's any problem.

I can also do it if need be. But the mods round here don't shut them down immediately at 5 k typically there's some wiggle room.

Maybe I should wait

With this thread nearing the need for a reboot, perhaps this is a poor time for me to stop by. It just seems a welcoming place for newbies such as myself to become more acquainted with others here.

Don't wait, step inside. What's your poison? the bar tender is away atm but I know my way around the bar:D.

*Scowls at the snickering from the shadows*

We are always happy to meet new friends here:).

Hi, and thank you for the welcome. My typical alcoholic go-to is vodka with 7-Up or Sprite (no tonic or soda water here) and lime. However, given that we received 8"+ of snow yesterday, I could really go for an Irish coffee.

One Irish coffee coming up! Or would you like to try some mulled wine? i have a crock pot going as we speak?

It's quiet in here today but there's often a lot more activity. I don't know where the others are.

Ooh, mulled wine sounds lovely. Thank you.

First, welcome Ruby, it’s always nice to welcome a new face. I can’t believe we’re near the end of this forum, but stay with us and we’ll take you over to the next one. I seem to recall Glad posted the 5,000th post last time.

Well the Alps are amazing and we actually had time todo some skiing today. Hadn’t seen my husband for several months and had forgotten what it’s like to be a woman. I can honestly say he reminded me *blushing*

Ok it’s nearly 0100 hours here and we’ve been in the bar for a few hours after dinner. Now I’m being summoned to bed - I wonder why? *Innocent look*

Delighted you are enjoying your leave GG. 😁

Welcome Ruby! Hope you enjoy the company here. They are good folk.

A gimlet is my go to mixed drink.

Hi Ruby, welcome to the Inn. We are a friendly bunch, although some days we are more talkative than others. :)

Glad you actually got on the skiis, GG. Although I know it is hard to get up off your bed with some marine constantly pulling you back. ;)

I don't drink wine, but your crock pot, Uggg, is making the Inn smell good. March is supposed to go out like a lamb, but it seems like a lot of areas are still getting snow. I am actually heading for the 70s this week. At least that is what the weather site says.

Hi Glad, how goes things? Did you get moved?

I'd love to have the 5,000th post yet again... apparently it's an obsession with me ;)

Welcome rubi (I think someone just named you haha)

Just don't ask uggg for gin because it's gone... he drank it all

Glad you got to feel like a woman again GG

Well there are only a couple more posts to go, so if you respond to a couple you could get it. LOL
