The China Pearl Inn part 9

O they’ll have to wear ball gowns occasionally CG! You should have seen them, looking all white and virginal! You remember what I looked like. Lol.

Well we’re all set for the weekend. HSG & Rose have gone with Rick & Tom to France where NRR is part of the security arrangements. I’m going to the Royal Albert Hall for tonight’s Remembrance Festival but this time I’m sitting in the audience in mufti while Robyn & Sal do their stuff. They release thousands of poppies at the end, one for each allied warrior who has fallen in defence of the nation since 1914. It’s very moving.

I'd love to go to the royal albert hall sometime. I have more than one live concert recorded there. I hear the sound is amazing.

Yes I do remember how sweet and charming you looked G G in your gown. :p

Sounds like a very busy weekend for the gals both in France and in London.

Morning Glad

Yes I do Glad and it sits on 5 acers of land. A combination of ciders and cleared land.

It is enough land to keep the neighbors, neighborly but not right in my lap. Now mind you if that neighbor was a pretty young thing I do not think I would mind if she were in my lap Glad. ;)

Lol I could never live so isolated.

Glad there is a great difference between Isolation, loneliness, and solitude. That being said there are neighbors close to hand just not to close. ;)

You have to remember that I spent many years at sea where you space was 6ft x 36inches x 2 ft. I like my elbow room now.

Fair enough sir, it's all about perspective I suppose. Shaped by our history :)

So true. I spent most of my youth in over crowded houses and my adult life in a huge city living in apartments. I envy CG his five acres. Although my one acre backs up to the forest on two sides so it feels like a larger lot than it is. My neighbors are definitely closer than I would want, but at least I can't hear them talking or their tvs going. I love the isolation. I am never lonely, I have you guys when I feel a need for companionship. :)

I enjoy my place, not quite as removed as some. I live on the side of highway 52, but its in a part that isn't traveled as much. So the traffic is the worst part, but I get a lot of the privacy I want.

Hi Kama, how was your day?
It was good, feeling a bit of the writing itch today.

Oh I know what that is like Kama. An Itch that I for one like to scratch often. ;)

S F I quite agree.

I have never lived on a highway, but I lived on Route 66 for a short while. You should scratch that itch. ;)

It looks like we will have to start the China Pearl Inn part 10 very very soon as we will momentarily reach that 5,000 post

I took a tour of the Alabama not too long ago. Gotta say man. My introvert would have drove me to suicide in an environment like that. Give me a bloody cabin out in the woods over cots hanging from the ceiling like that any day. It was an amazing ship and I have no real problem with tight spaces but man do I need alone time.
