Hey all, Welcome SW, I love to play games but since I live alone I play against the computer. But my sister is a GAME GEEK. The more pages to the instructions, the better she likes it. She hosts game night twice a month. I like games that are simpler to play. My brother likes those military games that have a gazillion tiny pieces and rules no one else understands and take weeks to play.

Yeah, he started playing them when he was a kid maybe forty years ago? As far as I know, he has always played them alone because no one else would play with him. Risk is more my style, you can see the end in sight. When we were kids we would play monopoly, and when it was time to go to bed, we pushed the game under the bed and took it up again the next day. I would get really bored with the game as it seemed as if there was no end coming up. The favorite game when the family is together is Facts in Five. Five rounds and the game is over.![]()
Balderdash is a good game for family or friends. Have you played that? Lots of my friends have English as a second language though so I don't get to play that one as often. Its not fair on them.

No, is that one of those "everyone yells out at the same time" games? I don't do well with those games. I have sound sensitivity and if a lot of people are talking at the same time, I can't understand anyone. But I bet my sister played it back in the day, she loves those kinds of "yelling out" games.
Yes welcome SW
SF, we have our own version of military games but I don’t think they’re the same ones your brother enjoys lol.
While Sal is away I’m working on my final bits of the engineering course then we are all going on a 3 week exercise with NRR. Should be interesting to say the least.
Hi Uggg

No its a game where there are a whole lot of really obscure (but real words) and everyone writes down a bullshit definition for the word. those and the real definition get read out and everyone has to try and pick the real one. You gets points if people pick your BS.

Thank you very much. It is a pleasure to be here.
Hope everyone is having a good evening.
Hosting my first boardgame night in about 18 months.

Always enjoyed the Avalon Hill Historic board games as well as D&D Sir. Best of luck and wishing you a stimulating evening.
S F I have had better years. At this point just muddling through and taking it hour by hour.![]()
Good morning all! Hope you all slept well.
I love the huge wargames like Warhammer 40K but they are so damn expensive.
Any game with miniatures though and I am done for. Painting minis is a great side hobby to gaming.
Morning CG. Hope your day, and year, improves. Muddling is so exhausting.![]()

These games are played with tiny little cardboard squares with numbers on them. ::shrugs:: .
