The Chinal Pearl Inn part 8

Maybe we should have a soap opera in the Inn set in a bad back ward. I bag being the handsome doctor we gets the nurses. Practices doing a manly look.

The army nurses are in country so they might be willing to help out. CG can be the patient, he has recent experience. ;)

It's been a sunny day again here. It encourages the pretty women to get their legs out for us chaps. They're selfless, really.

That is generous of them. It was hot enough here that I turned on the ac. But the white noise from the fan is making me sleepy. LOL

There seem to be more songbirds here (though still not that many) than where I used to live. Not sure why.

I have several birds here, not sure what they are but they beat the pigeons and seagulls wings down. There are a couple of crows in the area but the smaller birds tend to chase them off. Where I lived before it was common for the crows and seagulls to fight. Lovely voices, both of them.

Oh yes, charming ;)

There's a bit of a problem in places in the UK with aggressive seagulls, either attacking people who are eating in the open or dive bombing folks when it's breeding season and they're nesting in built up areas.

Eating outside can be perilous along the coast. If the birds aren't going for your food they are dropping the remains on your head.

Ah the joys of the alfresco life :) I used to live near the sea and the gulls came a little inland and decided some houses near me were perfect to raise gull junior. The were quite vocal when people walked down the street.

They are territorial for sure. But the birds that are super aggressive are the jays. I saw one last year and was very glad it didn't stick around. There are a lot of them in the higher elevations. They can stay there.

They're clever little chaps the crow family. I have seen magpies seeking out tasty snacks from the underside of the capstone of walls and elsewhere.

Mockingbirds are probably the most hated of the birds for me. Not only are they aggressive, but they return to the same spot every year so you can't get away from them. They are extremely loud and go all night. I read that some people have sold their houses and moved to get away from them.

I didn't know that. "Mockingbird: a friend for life." :D

Every year they would show up in April and stay all summer. It was hard because May and June are the most exhausting months of the school year. Not being able to sleep even for a short period of time did not help. I used to run the ac whether it was hot or not to try to cover up the sound. If I had a gun and decent aim, those birds would have been history.

And here I thought you were Pocahontas :D

I know what you mean tho. I used to need to sleep not least because I usually had a long drive to where I worked.

My drive wasn't that long but I had to be "on" the second I pulled into the parking lot. By the time I was back in the car ten hours later, I would be too tired to push the accelerator.

Uh uh...Did you also work in what is euphemistically called "challenging" schools?

Every school is challenging. Parents are crazy at all economic levels. LOL But I worked in urban schools. The last ten years were particularly difficult because children have become more verbally and physically violent in the classroom. And teachers' hands have become tied to the point where a few students can make everyone else in the room miserable. I feel terrible for those teachers still in the classroom. There is no support for difficult behaviors.
