Memory lane...
After reading my old story thread and visiting the China Pearl I decided to continue my trip down memory lane. Putting ghosts to rest was always a good idea and I thought maybe the bitter sweet memories I had would perhaps feed my muse.
Slipping quietly into the Club De Sade I entered from a side door leading from the Vassal Academy Club. I stood silently on the threshold for a moment, much as I had often done in times gone by. Eyes closed I fancied I could still feel and hear the hypnotic throb of the pulsating music surrounding me caressing my body as it welcomed and urged me forwards into the wanton wickedness that was the Club De Sade.
As I leaned against the doorway I was transported back in time my willowy body swaying gently, as in my minds eyes I relived that very first night. So many amazing dynamic individuals had been in attendance on its opening night. I wondered where they were right now, what they were doing. Many of them had shaped who I was to eventually become. I had no regrets, I had loved them all in one way or another, even those who had caused me pain upon occasion.
I was smiling as I dragged myself into the present forcing my eyes open to look around the now silent and deserted club. No cobwebs here, everything was pristine and in order as if it were simply waiting for the clock to strike midnight to bring its patrons back to life. The feeling that everyone had never really left persisted sending shivers up and down my spine. I felt their desire and wants, they curled erotically in my lower belly like Living entities causing me to blush. I brushed the fanciful notion aside as I made my way boldly behind the bar.
I prepared myself a Mojito and Perrier and took my seat at the end of the bar. Toying with the unopened Perrier I could not help but think of Trever. How I missed the man, how I missed his humour, how I missed writing with him. In many ways he had fed and nurtured my very soul, I had always felt a deep visceral connection. Truth be told I had in fact loved him deeply and of course all of his amazing characters. He had of course been taken by another and back then I ... well I had had the silly notion that there could only be one.
I picked up the elegant bottle and pressed a soft chaste kiss to its cool surface seeing his handsome image reflected there. My eyes clouded for a moment before I stood abruptly heading with determination to the veranda with my Mojito and thoughts of Dee.
I half lay on the recliner the exact same one I had shared with her siping on the drink she had introduced me to. Dee I missed the most I think. Her real world has claimed her as surely as mine had claimed me...
Could one go back in time? I wasn’t sure but I knew with certainty that I would if I most certainly would. Would I make the same mistakes? Probably.
I’d like to think that would simply take what I desired and to hell with the consequences.
The sun was warm on my beautiful face as I sipped my drink as once more I was pulled back into the past. An errant thought had me smiling again...
I still had the same safe word and to this day had never used it. I wondered if it were still on file?
