The "Dominatrix"

A munch is a gathering of alternative lifestyle (BDSM) people, in a "vanilla" (non kinky) setting such as a resturaunt. Street clothing is worn, and people are free to discuss the Lifestyle; however, a low profile and respect for those in the area who are not a part of the BDSM gathering is considered the proper ettiquite. Any "play" occurs after the evening's social gathering- usually at a public dungeon nearby. Think ice cream social for kinky people- a place to freely chit chat, and get to know other people who are kink-friendly.

I appreciate you were attempting to choose your words carefully, but the Von Sacher-Masoch quotes were confusing... of course, I felt she was a complete and horrid bitch, rather than a Domme, so that may be why I took the left fork in the road...

Latin kicks my ass every damned time. Sigh.

you want a fantasy woman who's always "on" and who is amused at the challenge you think you present. It runs about 250 an hour in most major metros and it's easy to find.

oOo

I wouldn't want that.

It's like telling a girl that wants a boyfreind,

"Yeah, there is this place called ChipN'Dales.... it's really GREAT!"

That doesn't appeal to me.

To me, a D/s relationship makes sense and it clicks with me.

I believe Netzach's point, was that your posts seem to imply you are looking for an "uber-Domme"- a woman who is always running the show, always in top form as a Domme, always in charge, and exists to face the challenges, trials, and tribulations of having you as her submissive/pet/boy/whatever, rather than you existing to serve her, and be an instrument for her pleasure.

And it's most likely "plural," not "pural." But the whole topic is puerile.

I hate making an error when correcting someone. It always blows my argument and makes me sound like I have no edumacation.

Venus in Furs is one of my favorite books which you quote twice in your original post. You seem to be seeking a sadistically constituted women like Sacher-Masoch's herorines. I'm not sure Dominatrix is exactly the word I would chose to describe such a character though I guess the definition by most people's standard is close enough.

I do warn a single-minded pursuit to realize a fantasies through the idealization of a partner can be unfulfilling much like Severin's own disappointment in Wanda from the book. Even in Sacher-Masoch’s own life, Fanny Pistor and Aurora Rumelin were unable to completely fulfill the Godess ideal of Wanda von Dunajew.

Words are most powerful when they inspire a person to repeat the actions they describe. In the book, the actions are directed and decribed by the masochist who eroticizes the personal violence of one sadist by his individual tastes. Rarely do two like minded people find each other so completely fitting to the other's desire. A bit of fantasy is required in every relationship.

My advice to you based on the references you gave me is to look for a self-identified Female sadist. Titles like Mistress, Domme and Dominatrix may not attract the type of indifferent cruelty Wanda inacts in the book. Second, get expectations for both parties outlined in a contract with the Female so everyone is clear about the definitation of the relationship. Contracts should not be drawn up until both parties have had suitable time to know each other. Thirdly, embrace the fantasy, but allow for breaks in the relationships so she can be away from you. Most likely the type of female you are seeking will not monogamous either. It just generally not in one's nature.

In my opinion based on what you have said, you are a masochist, which is different then just being a submissive. The ego and opinionate nature is welcomed by most sadist when finding a masochistic partners because it gives reason for punish the central part of the relationship. A lack of unwillingness to bend is found to be most tasty. You cannot break what is already broken. The journey in the education in subordinate is so much better when the one under your foot struggles.

You may find of interest Wanda and the orgy leader in Juliette by Sade are both erotic depictions loosely based on Catherine the Great. The furs, command of slaves and the whip are the tsarina's trademarks. You may want to explore the subject a little more. The Royal eastern european/Russian women in history portray many of the qualities you find erotic.

Excellent postage, Ms. Ebonyfire, Netz and Lady Aria. I think Claudia Varrin made a similar comment to Netz but I can't remember the source.

Amazing...

Lady Aria,

A lot of people will try to take advantadge of me but that is inevitable.

You really know what you are talking about.

Yes, well, it is your responsibilty to look out for your best interest when choosing a partner regardless on the context of the relationship. Predators tend to seek out non-traditionists more so because of our community's reluctance to report crimes due to the private nature of our lifestyle. As someone mentioned before, munches or clubs are the best place to met like minded people and always get references from their former partners. I am not a fan of online relationships though I know a few people who have been quite successful in finding a match in that manner.

That is simply marvelous, Etoile. Wish I could find good stuff like that!!!
*giggles* Thank you! The bunny is named Oolong and he became Internet-famous for balancing all sorts of things on his head. :)

Please forgive the hijack, but I've been working since 7 this morning, and don't feel like hunting down the other thread...

How's lacing going Etoile? I must confess I've abandonded it for the summer. The humidity of the deep south, tightlacing, and little ol' me do not get along well together. I did lace up the other day, and got down to 24" (I was at 23" quite "comfortably"), but I swear the corset raises my temperature a gazillion degrees... I may have to wait until Autum to get back to it. :(

I haven't been either, because I need a new corset! I have lost more than 25 pounds since January, and I need a new underbust. I also desperately needed an overbust, so I bought that, but of course it's no good for tightlacing (under work clothes, that is) so I have to save up my pennies until I can afford another good underbust.

My sister-in-law got the latest Frederick's of Hollywood catalog this evening and I am laughing at what they call "corsets" - hilarious!

I don't feel so lonely in the "taking the summer off" universe now. ;) Congrats on the weight loss! I made the mistake of going on BC pills for 4 months, trying ot get my hormones a little more under coltrol, and developed the opposite problem- I gained 6-7#... which doesn't sound like much, but when you wear a 20" underbust corset- it makes a huge difference. :( So now I'm back off the pills, working on the weight, and hoping to be back to lacing 16+ hours a day in September.
