This topic isn't really why I'm on a website such as this, but it goes to show how toxic and prevalent politics has become in every corner of our lives. I personally do find Trump to be repulsive and disgusting. As an Army veteran, I would vote for a ham sandwich before I ever voted for Trump. The saddest commentary, however, is what our politics says about Imus as a country. The fact that everyone isn't repulsed by Trump is the saddest part. Everyone, including his supporters, acknowledge that the guy is, uh, let's just say not a good guy. The fact that 40% of the country supports him nonetheless is the true commentary about us. This country was founded on racism. And yet, sadly, here we are in 2024. How far we like to think we have come. Not nearly far enough, apparently.
Please spare me the hate and the related nonsense about how Trump is good for the economy, etc., despite his being an enemy of democracy. My message does not call names or attempt to divide us further, and I won't respond or get into any debates. As noted, I'm an Army veteran, I own guns, and I work in the Criminal Justice field. I voted for George W Bush twice. This isn't about sane politics, however. I will simply cast my vote in early November. The good news is that I think most people, even his supporters, know that that the end of this chapter is near.
Now, back to appreciating the female form. Oh, and the baseball playoffs, the NFL, the upcoming holiday season, and our kids, in no particular order. These are the things that we should really care more about again. We would be a whole lot happier as a people. God bless.
