The "I don't want to talk about AI" thread, and the new topic is: yolking around again

The palaver did nothing to levigate my discomfort with his unwanted attetions. For a moment, I ruminated on slitting his throat, but the thought of cleaning up the imbruement on the carpet put me off the idea.

The thing about English verbs that really makes me tense is the fact that English has tense times, whereas Spanish doesn't. Why are you making things tense, English? Do you want to torture me, or do you want to be tortured?

Both. The answer is both. The English language is a bastard, born and bred, and created, recreated- a bastard language that bastardizes other languages as it goes and spreads like a virus around the globe corrupting everything it comes in contact with, or borrows from.

So yes, it wants to torture you and be tortured in return. It's also very flexible in a lot of ways, so maybe the perfect language for Lit?🤔

Both funny and not funny I guess.

La verdad es que el mejor idioma para escribir es este. Y si inglés me quiere torturar, tiene que pagar su impuesto primero. Aquí no doy mi fusta de gratis.

Honestly? You and your knowledge and humor, and HOW you relate those two things to others has been a gift, much needed, to the AH; so thank you! 🙂
Thanks! It's been quite a journey. Ever since I strode in here a few months ago, I was smitten with how much wisdom was lying around. I'm very glad nobody forsook me right out of the gate, I've felt very welcome, and have certainly drunk my fill of tidbits. And I appreciate that nobody has mollycoddled me, they told it to me straight, and helped to transmogrify my writing into something all the better.

That keeping with your dang thread, @StillStunned, or was I too verb-bose? 😁

I would like to subscribe to your dream journal, please.
While I do have some pretty crazy dreams, most entries would probably be a long the lines of, "I dreamed of a cat, it was pretty."
Tense times to have...

Imagine that being a riddle in an escape room.
It might've been! I do love escape room puzzles and I can't really remember what the dream was about. Just that me not knowing this impossible to know thing had doomed us all. XD

When in doubt, throw an axe at it; I imagine that would solve quite a few problems🤔😁

For those who might be (but probably aren't) curious! The surface tension of water is 72 mN/m, and tears are between 42-46 mN/m. No I don't quite understand what mN/m is, I'm working on it.

For clarification purposes, Assoil: To absolve or pardon, Agglutinate: To join or stick together, Distend: To stretch. All together, it's Ben Franklin's warning to his fellow signers of the Declaration of Independence, "We either stick together or surely will hang separately."
