The Isolated Politics Blurt Thread I: A New Beginning

it should have ever happened at all in any capacity.

still doesn't excuse the other "things that never happen" that would have never happened without stuffing millions of migrants seeking a free pass for everything while showing them it's okay.

i haven't kept up. have any public apologies been issued for what happened at manchester airport or have all those groups that publicly went on to threaten public safety just carrying on?

I had another ride in a rural area. I saw a few Trump signs, one handpainted TRUMP THAT BITCH sign, and one GIANT METEOR sign.

i think its amazing Trump agreed to this knowing full well what he was walking into. Every word Scott uttered was antagonistic. She was expecting Trump to lose his cool. Instead he was honest, smooth and outrageous all at the same time. I will say having Harris Faulkner in his corner went a big way in helping him maintain his center. Great interview in its entirety. It starts about an hour in.

Rachel Scott was late.

I'm enjoying all the revisionist horseshit spin being put out tonight making convicted felon DonOld J Trump's appearance at the conference today. Those of us of a certain age remember when Sam Donaldson would ask tough questions of presidents. The presidents might not have liked the questions, but they responded courteously and most importantly, professionally.

Not convicted felon DonOld Trump.

In an interview with NBC News on Tuesday night, Garland slammed Cannon’s ruling from earlier this month and suggested she does not understand the law

“For more than 20 years I was a federal judge,” Garland said.

“Do I look like somebody who would make that basic mistake about the law? I don’t think so.”

“Until now, every single court, including the Supreme Court, that has considered the legality of special counsel appointment has upheld it,” Garland told NBC News.

The attorney general also threw shade at Cannon, by explaining that he deliberately chose the location of the interview with NBC News.
“I picked this room for this interview. This is my favorite room in the Justice Department,” Garland said.

“It’s a law library.”

  • Blake Masters lost to Abe Hamadeh in the GOP primary for Arizona's 8th congressional district.
  • He was backed early on by Sen. JD Vance — and got a last-minute dual endorsement from Trump.
  • It's the second election Masters has lost in two years. He was Arizona's GOP Senate nominee in 2022.
Blake Masters, a close ally of JD Vance and Peter Thiel, just lost another election
What a toxic primary. Small wonder that convicted felon DonOld J Trump did a weird thing and endorsed BOTH candidates (at the last minute of course).

MAGA voters in Arizona were given a clear choice in the primary:
  • Masters, who lived 100 miles away from the district he wanted to represent, wants to deport Muslims.
  • Hamadeh, a Muslim who lost a bid to be Arizona's attorney general by 300 votes in 2022, wants to deport Hispanics.

Hamadeh's parents were Muslim Syrian "illegal immigrants" and hid from authorities (overstayed travel visa) until Hamadeh's mother could deliver her "anchor baby", a practice convicted felon DonOld J Trump wants to do away with and apply retroactively. That baby, Abraham Hamadeh, will likely win the Congressional district in November.

If the fringe-right Supreme Court redefines the 14th amendment to revoke citizenship for "anchor babies", then Hamadeh will become the first Syrian national to become a United States Congressman.

I don't mind voter rolls being maintained.periodically, but it should not be allowed within 3 months before an election. People who are removed that shouldn't be now have little or no time to rectify their status before the election. (And yes, people WILL be removed that shouldn't be)

Add to this, most voters don't know this is happening.

Politicians in debates and public speeches are required to move their hands so they look less boring. If they learn sign language, then the government could save money in hired interpreters.
