The Mansion

Steps inside and offers a smile to all in attendance, "Greetings to you all. I hope all is well."
*tips his glass to rlaflamme* Good evening. Well enough here, just chatting with the ladies. Feel free to pull up a chair if you're inclined."

*let's his voice drop low to a throaty purr*

"And ya know we love you too, Rain. Have missed seein you. Sure hope you're managing to keep yourself in good health and drama free. But knowing this place.....well, I doubt it."

*chuckles softly*

Thank you, sir, I would love to sit with a drink and let the day fade away.

Smiles and goes to pour himself a glass, "You are truly a gem DW, thank you!"

It is a scotch, one of my favorites. Very tasty, very smokey.
Oh ho! Well I've learned something new today. I'll have to give it a try sometime, though I'll confess to not being a huge fan of scotch. Think I lack the....refined....taste for it.

It is one I don't get very often, a bit pricy, but I save it for those special days. Those days that just require that extra special touch.

I am pretty open to my likes, scotch, Irish whiskeys, bourbons, they all have their own good qualities.

*nods* Well I've had Glenfidditch and Glenmorangie, but never heard of Ardbeg. So I'm glad you answered that for me. I have a taste for Irish whiskey the most though....funny as my family seems to prefer Canadian stuff. Pretty picky about my bourbons too, but there's more of them that I enjoy than there is scotch brands. Still have a little left of Jameson Gold Reserve in my cabinet...that's my splurge.

Those are both really good. Jameson is great, was at that distillery a few years ago, was a great time.

I like to try new things, but like to keep the price reasonable, which isn't easy. There is a bourbon from Texas I really like, Brimstone from Balconies distillery, but I have to order it, so I don't get it very often.

Well now yer just making me jealous. Been hoping to get to Ireland for most of my life. Touring that distillery was pretty high up on my list too....that and spend an evening in one of those castles they've turned into bed and breakfasts now.

As for new flavors....my best friend gave me a bottle of something new for Christmas last year. Surly Whiskey. Its American, made in Minnesota. Funny thing is that Surly was my favorite brewery. Didn't even know they made a fuckin whiskey until he showed up with a bottle. It's pretty damned decent too!

I went to Ireland a few years ago, we hit a few distilleries and Guiness of course, you have to go there. We had a great time. We were supposed to go to Scotland in 2020, but we know what that year brought.

I have never heard of that; I will have to look it up. I wonder if they ship to my area. It's really good huh? Affordable?

It's decent. It's not high end, but its far more distinguished than swill. Was a collaboration between Foundry Distilling and Surly Brewing. It does however, have a full bodied, quite unique flavor that's reminiscent of the IPA that leads Surly's beer lines. Probably a limited edition release because of the collaboration. I didn't know how much it cost because it was a gift, but a quick search revealed around $60 for the bottle. Sorry for the late response...and have a good night.

Pouring his coffee, he sets himself down in his regular seat on the deck, "Good morning, everyone."
