Unseasonably mild, definitely. Double-figures mid December is really rather unusual. Kinda bizarre given that it was like -5 a few days last week, but I'm not going to complain.

Still, I am just back from a dog walk and it was cold. How does that work? In bed naked, window open: too warm, wearing layers and moving about, too cold

Movement... air flow takes the heat away much quicker, staying still in bed allows air around you to warm up...
And there could be someone there with you to help too!
