The Non-Picture Picture Thread

Man, I SO do love them. I swear, they make them in better colors for men than they do for women. I hit Macy's and go to the menswear section and can literally get LOST in the tie and shirt selections/combinations. Swoony shit, right there.

If you get a chance, there's a store called Paul Stuart on Madison and 45th. It's ridiculously expensive, (it targets to the wall street&"Connecticut squire" type crowd), but I think you would enjoy taking a look, (or buy some if you can!:D). Its almost like walking onto the set of Mad Men. All their clothes (and Oxfords) look really excellent; if you love the Men's at Macy's you'll definitely "get lost" there.

Keep up the descriptions!

Okay Red I'll give it a shot; Front door is open, sun filtered in through the screen door, got "Wish you were here" in the CD player. The dogs are lazing in the yard, my son's upstairs asleep. I just finished some light lifting and now I'm kicking back in front of the Mac in my old 501's, a white Subset T-shirt, and slippers. Yup, the hairs a mess, sporting a days growth, and a cup of SBC Henrys blend is sitting on the desk.

This thread is simply amazing! Even though I'm three years late to the party, please allow me to jump in:

I'd be sitting on my old green, overstuffed couch, looking down at the guitar causally held in my lap. My head would be in the upper right of the frame, while the body of the guitar would occupy the bottom right. The neck would run along the bottom edge at a slight incline, the head of the instrument resting in the lower center of the frame’s left edge. In all, my body only occupies the right third of the frame; the couch and guitar take up the other two thirds. The picture is angled ever so slightly: while I appear straight, the top of the couch declines to the left, at about a five degree angle, almost meeting the head of the guitar at the left edge. The composition is dark; the only light is a spotlight on my face, coming eye-level from the right, off-screen. The light emphasizes my tan flat cap, which hides my eyes as I look down towards the guitar. The light also divides my face in half, splitting my nose in light and shadow, and only breaking for my mouth, which parts slightly as I whisper words of a song. My chest emerges from beneath my chin, exposed by the open collar of my green striped button up shirt. With the darkness of the composition, though, the shirt dissipates quickly into the couch, except for my right shoulder, which is backlit from the spotlight on my face. The light also displays my left hand, which gently caresses the upper bout of the guitar, as if it is about to slowly reach down for the strings. My right forearm emerges from beneath the fret board on the same line, my fingers gently forming into a chord. And just as I am about to reply… the shutter snaps shut.
