Mine slowed massively after a couple of days (more so than usual) and then to virtually nothing when the site ‘updates’ happened. That’s what made the bombing so obvious. It’s also been unusual in that no anonymous comments have come through (not even a test one that I left for myself). On the other hand, it’s my first time in Erotic Horror, and I can’t say that I wasn’t warned…

I am in the same boat. No new votes or comments.
I would not find this unusual as it is my first entry ever an I am not established. However, when reputable authors mention it, I start wondering.
There is also an issue with new stories hitting the followers. Part 4 of my series had 5K+ view. Part 1 has 26K, part 2 and 3 18+. I did expect a drop off but not that significant.

Yeah I was gonna say, compared to my summer entry where I got >100 votes, I now get maximum one vote per day (though I still have high hopes I will reach the minimum 25)
BUT the flipside is, I only get positive votes so far. So bittersweet - not much attention, but that also means none of the vultures.

I’m having a good news/bad news kind of morning. My new story Bolero in the Night went live this morning, and it got 1-bombed.
It’s a reluctance/non-con story about a woman that wakes up to find herself blindfolded and bound. A stranger then begins to seduce her as her favorite classical piece, Bolero, plays in the background. Kind of creepy, but I think it’s good. My opinion may be biased though.

Question - am I right to think you only need the 25 votes on october 30th (day of the competition), not on october 23rd (last day of submission)? Wouldn't make much sense to allow people to submit on the last day if logically they cannot instantly get the votes.
And will the stories with fewer votes be "purged" from the list on the last day, or will they remain and just not qualify for the winner selection?

You are right. 25 votes at the end of the contest, which is the 30th. That makes sure all the entries have a week to get the 25.
