Cravon had not had the opportunity to here Glad's musical tribute. He had spent much of the day volunteering at the VA hospital, a tradition for his family every year on Memorial Day. But this morning he is also in a quiet, pensive mood as he slips into the Inn and pours a cup of coffee.
 
Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen can be a moody lot at times Cravon.

I take a sip of coffee as I gaze out over the rainy wind swept mountains.

Even we old Coasties have been know to be a bit pensive and grumpy from time to time. I spent most of my career guarding someone else's coast and most of the time they were not to happy about it.;)

But I fear we shall chase the young ladies away.

*I sink down into a chair, taking a slow, careful sip of my coffee*

You should see the mood down at the hospital on Memorial Day, my friend. We are definitely in good company with the difficult thoughts. I always volunteer in psychological services and it's a rough day for all. But it's totally worth it, I love all of the people that come in.

But you're right, all of this somberness does not make for an inviting atmosphere, does it?

up here most only bother remembering on remembrance day if then. There are others that remember all year long her tone gives nothing away as to which of those she is but a shadow in her clear eyes gives a hint

Otherwise, how's the weather and all that pish?

Damn...just got a text from someone offering to go out and grab a few things, and me with a post owed :rolleyes:

I smile softly at Gg's whispered thank you even though it was not needed. Rising from my place at his feet I gently kissed his cheek before moving in the direction of the bar.

A smile in LT's direction and a shy hug to cravon and I am soon busy replenishing the coffee pot and laying out cookies.

"Can I bring any one a refill?
 
I hold up my mug toward Yeishia after returning her shy hug.

"Yes, please, dear. I would love some more coffee. And thank you."

I've only ever written with you here. I've spent plenty of time writing in different non-sexual venues. And you are quickly becoming one of my favorites.
 
Popping in to say Hey to any and all who may be lurking about. It's been a crazy busy couple of days.
 
Hey LT. Busy busy busy... It's been a crazy few days and a few more coming.

After all these years it still baffles me that somehow, the Tuesday after a Holiday always seem to have more work waiting the the Friday before did.

Thankfully I work at a job that is busiest on the weekend. I usually get the long weekends off so I am not complaining lol
 
Watching her petite form skip led to a rash of thoughts that would be best left.... oh really who am I kidding. I stare with an open mouth gape worthy of a Looney Toons double take.

"Ummm, errrrr, ahhhhh," slowly regaining my composure, "Hi Angel... You seem to be in a good mood this evening."
 
*giggling at HF's expression, thankful I was wearing my sports bra or his eyes might have fallen out*
